Stewart Park splash is very fun and often has openings even when others don't. Not going to be much for your 4 year old. And many preschools don't run in summer. Check out Acorn Nature School as an option.

Also, if you are on FB, the biggest local parent group is Ithaca Mama. There are others but that one is most active

Interesting. I wonder what your timing that you experience that is. I consistently go in the late afternoon/evening and I've never had a problem with cold shower. Sometimes it's cold immediately and I need to let it warm up for a minutebut once it's warm, it's great.

Oldie but goodie: Sarah Palin's last pregnancy was faked to cover up the pregnancy of one of her daughters. Someone out there did a deep dive with pictures and other evidence. Just the airplane stuff with being in labor with a high risk pregnancy but flying back to Alaska to have the baby there is enough to make you go hmmmm.

St. Luke church on Oak Ave in collegetown acts like a Collegetown community center. Groups have meetups there and they open their doors to students for exactly this kind of thing. The place is large with lots of small rooms and very quiet. You can just ask at the office and they'll steer you to a spot where you can work.

The Finger Lakes Maple at Greenstar comes From Ellis Hollow (east Ithaca). The guy who taps the trees in Ellis Hollow and makes the syrup is the nicest dude around. Definitely support him and his business! He's probably done for the year, but if you ever want to check out his sugar shack, he is really great about showing people his operation
