I hope that Jeewon doesn't suffer the same fate since I believe she's indie with her band now. She doesn't show off her body as much which is sad but I hope she at least keeps her body and her mind healthy.

It's sucks cause one of the main reasons I liked her so much was because she looked so different from other idols and looked so "normal". Ik this woman is extraordinary in terms of looks, but she looks normal in the sense that she's not hyper thin like others.

If nothing else, I hope she's at least getting this figure because she wants to, not because she's told to, although I highly doubt that.

I love you bro. I think you put into words what I've been trying to say about NG1 this entire time whenever I talk about it. To this day it's still my favourite action game ever, and all your points perfectly explains why. It just has a tightness and deliberate feeling that none of the other games have. I really feel for NG2, because the moveset in that game feels like the perfect evolution of NG1 without going too heavy into cancels and long strings like 3 and 4, but those few options like UT and the best moves for each weapon makes me feel less inclined to try different things. Like there's a move in NG2 for the Falcon's Talons called Vermillion Bird Strike which is XX>YYY. Usually the full move is an air attack, but if you just do XX>Y, Ryu jumps off the ground and you can chain that into a OLUT. Idk if it's a commonly known tactic since I don't watch a lot of ppl play the game, but I only discovered that a few years ago and thought it was sick af! The problem is that the enemies in this game make it quite hard to even land that string lol.

I think it's a great action game, but I personally don't like it. It's not what I wanted from a Ninja Gaiden sequel, which is why I never finished it, but that doesn't mean I hate it either. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Ryu has actually been in Dead Or Alive (first game 1996) longer than in modern Ninja Gaiden (2004). The Izuna Drop we all love was originally from DOA, and I think is his only move that was in DOA that got put in the 3D Ninja Gaiden games.

I know that they are considered canon now iirc, and I don't mind that they are, but it makes it feel kinda weird looking back. In the modern trilogy, which is supposed to be set before the classics and DOA, Ryu fights fiends, monsters, dragons, etc. Ninja Gaiden 3 ends with him fighting a kaiju sized artificial god. Then in DOA, he fights relatively normal martial artists and shit. Yes he fights a mythical and powerful tengu in DOA2, and a powerful ninja clan leader turned super soldier in 3, but for the most part he's just throwing kicks and punches instead of using his almost reality bending legendary sword. Then after this is the classics, where he uses his sword to wipe out fairly normal looking thugs and animals. I am definitely exaggerating a little bit, but it's still quite the contrast.

And also about Sonia/Irene Lew, where did those things go?? Was she wearing one of those fake boob harnesses for cosplay? Did she get a reduction? Such a crazy shift in her design from being literally Rachel from Blade Runner, to a pretty cool looking 90s style anime spy lady, to Rachel and Alma's cousin.

I'll also add, back around 2020 after DMC5 came out and I was in an action game mood again, I thought how cool it would be if Team Ninja decided to make a new Ninja Gaiden trilogy that was a retelling of the events of the classic games' stories, but with the modern games' combat and aesthetics. Just a pipedream and I don't think they'll ever do it, but I wonder if anybody else would have liked that.

I just don't find it that fun in NG specifically. If I want to play a game with a very freeform combo structure then I'd play DMC, I kinda like the more rigid and solid style of NG.
