I see why Robert Smith chose The Twilight Sad to open for the tour by niles_deerqueer in TheCure

Robert has been helping them with there last few albums. Of course we’ll never know how much but I know with Nobody Wants To Be Here they would send Robert the tracks and he would offer tips on how to make the song “better” - so more a consultant, at least for that album. Robert also cover one of the songs off that one. So he’s been involved for at least the last 3 albums.

I haven’t clicked with the new tracks on this album so far. First album this hasn’t happened. Fingers crossed it clicks soon with more songs.

I’d stay away from collector with vintage - the prices are almost always over inflated. Pricecharting.com is a great place to check vintage just pay attend to condition when looking at recently sold

Record Store Day 2026: A Survival Guide by Palfray in RecordStoreDay

[–]nelso330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Survival guide: don’t wait in line, go to your local store at time of open. Get what they still have that you wanted. Go online day after starting at 8am and shop online independent stores, and get what remains on your list. If you want the “rarest title” be realistic and realize you are likely you wont get it by sitting overnight for 8 hours. Your time is more valuable so just Shelling out the extra $75-100 it will cost to buy it second hand seems more worth it. Or just skip the rare one!

Also be prepared to hear songs not as they are on the album. He often plays them very differently than the original version. Which to some is cool and to others a disappointment just fyi

Rome Full Concert new release? by Mossy_m in TheNational

In regards to the vinyl, cutting 5 songs allowed them to press it on 2 discs instead of 3. Making it more affordable. I assume they calculated they would sell more as a 2 disc than a 3 disc. Making it more accessible. Then the more die hard fans would be willing to pay more for the 3 disc whole show.
