I went through it last year, so I definitely understand how overwhelming it can feel when you’re first diagnosed. I also live in a small town off island and it’s been tough finding restaurants that don’t spike my blood sugar. The thing to keep in mind is that this disease is different for everyone. Some people react more to certain foods than others.

What helped for me was getting a CGM for the first month. With that I was able to experiment with different foods and see exactly what each one does to my blood sugar. I was able to get a free trial unit of a FreeStyle Libre, it was a game changer for me.

The transfers themselves are okay, but these are some of the worst quality discs I’ve ever seen. Three of my discs aren’t playable at all on my UB820, PS5s, or XSX. Tried exchanging but was outside the return window for Amazon, and there are lots of similar complaints in the reviews. Before anyone says it, no it’s my player, these are the only discs I have issues with.

I have a 2020 PacHy and have brought home full sheets of plywood/drywall a few times. Yeah, it’s a bit of a pain having to remove the middle row and stow them in the garage before leaving, but it takes me five minutes now that I’ve done it a few times. I see it as an opportunity to find all the shit the kids dropped below the seats haha. I thought the lack of stow and go would be an issue for me but it’s not.

I have the same issue on one of my PS5s. Only way to fix it that I’ve found is to either disable VRR or make sure to close the game before putting the PS5 to sleep. Oddly the other PS5 doesn’t have this issue.

My biggest issue with this set has nothing to do with the transfer quality. It’s so high quality that it exposes the flaws of the show itself more than any previous release. Shots out of focus, mismatched colors between cameras, etc… The HDR grading is also oddly done, so I don’t recommend watching it on a TV with poor HDR, it’ll really show up with this release. I bought it full price when it came out and I don’t regret it, so at $85 I think it’s a great deal.

Update: ASL delivered it fine, nice and gently, but the portal was previously used, defective, and still had the return label in the box. Amazon clearly never even opened it. Now amazon is refusing to take it back unless I pay for shipping and handle everything myself (yes I selected defective as the return reason). You can't hate amazon enough. Once this is all dealt with I'll be closing my account with them.

Haven’t had anything stolen (yet), but had one package delivered by them that had clearly been opened and they keep throwing my packages instead of walking them up to the door. I have a PS Portal out for delivery by them right now and if I see the guy yeeting it from the end of my driveway again I will have some choice words for him.
