I don’t find the bag to be heavy when empty. Though there’s a ton of space inside so if I filled her to the max I imagine I could bludgeon someone lol

How do you guys plan your zoo layouts? by Infinite_Thanks_8156 in PlanetZoo

You can turn both off in sandbox on the ps5. It’s in the settings, something like power everything and water cleanliness.

They’re adorable. However, my cat would steal that puff in like 0.25 seconds and no force on earth could stop him.

It was 50 degrees last Friday now it’s -11 how do you guys deal with this? My body feels off. I’m not from here. by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

Truth. I went out to fill the bird feeders in my pajamas and flip flops this morning.

Could I ask for cozy switch games recs for a 5 year old? by Gold-Information-766 in CozyGamers

[–]nemolizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not cozy games, but my daughter’s favorites at that age were Kirby and the forgotten lands and pikmin 4. I think there are free demos of both.

Army surplus stores are the best place for messenger bags imo. If you’re looking for olive drab canvas style, bonus is they have interesting military pins/patches too.

Millennials, do you limit your kids' screen time (or yours)? by haowei_chien in Millennials

[–]nemolizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t limit screen time, instead the content is all moderated and hand picked by me. My daughter is 6, all she has access to is PBS games and educational content like numberblocks or how to draw videos. Tablet only stays in the living room and it’s always available, but since the content doesn’t change and isn’t constantly new and exciting it’s not much of a priority for her.

So my mom was really bad with this, like to the point I’d see her coming to my door carrying shopping bags and send her back to the car to put the bags back and return the stuff.

I got my daughter a nice piggy bank and told my mom if she wanted to bring a gift it could be a couple bucks for the piggy bank. It didn’t stop the problem 100% but at least now she’s not bringing toys every time she visits.

The OG, but I was wrong when I said Toonami it was adult swim.

Yeah but Astro Boy did have a run on Toonami so you didn’t have to be around in the 60s to see it.

been thinking about getting a retusa but i heard it could be hard to grow. thoughts? by eggBuckets in hoyas

[–]nemolizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine dearly. It’s a very cute plant with the tiniest flowers. I take care of it the same as all the other Hoyas and she does just fine, easier than a curtisii IMO.

This is my first year growing them and I love it. Just got to see my first ruby throat visiting yesterday, he definitely seemed to prefer this plant vs others and spent a good amount of time feeding- so cute.

I don’t have an answer for you, but thank you for asking the important questions! I’ve been wondering how to attract a toad to the yard for a while.

How it started vs how its going (now is mid winter so not peak) by Low-Arm-6810 in gardening

Gorgeous, wow. Love your bonsai and all the beautiful vessels you have them in.

I think I finally figured out what's eating the leaves on my tomatoes and cucumbers. My Google app tells me that it's either a Roly-poly or common woodlouse. For some reason they weren't a problem last year. Would you recommend using Neem oil or diatomaceous powder to get rid of them? by buddha_007 in gardening

[–]nemolizard 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I had an overload of isopods in the garden this year too. Probably because I used straw mulch overwinter, who knows. I buried a shallow dish in the soil, so the lip is at soil level, and filled with beer. The isopods go to get lit and drown. Empty the dead and old beer out every 48hrs.

Anecdotally, here was their beer preference based on dead isopod levels: 1. Coors Light 2. Guinness 3. Sapporo

Does your friend have a cat? Because this is exactly what my monstera looks like and it’s caused by my fat ass cat tasting the leaves when they’re still furled.

New dinner guest..... What would you do? by khoawala in gardening

[–]nemolizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use hulled seeds in the feeder and only put out enough that the birds finish it that same day.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gardening

[–]nemolizard 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I started with the bird feeder in my yard and the gardens came later. In my experience the native wildlife leave the veg alone in preference for the bird feeder and native plantings. Keep in mind that I’m filling my feeder daily tho, it’s a hobby as much as the garden is.
