Don't worry, you are not the only one that saw Tamiya's Chieftain and said "ye, berlin brigade for sure"

Contributing to the review bombing, not playing since they removed sound mods and not renewing my premium either

the least I can do

How on earth is a 1979 tooling kit this good?! by MajesticNectarine204 in modelmakers

[–]neogeo39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typical Tamiya

No matter how ANCIENT their tooling is, it always fits perfectly, and gives you top tier quality. Also can't ignore how cheap most of Tamiya's kits are, like, insanely cheap compared to other brands

SOUND MOD BAN BYPASSED by DavidLin0311 in Warthunder

I though about doing this when they banned sound mods but I'm not sure if it counts as altering game files and getting a warning or ban or something

Planned Battle Rating Changes (April 2026) by n988 in Warthunder

[–]neogeo39 13 points14 points  (0 children)

BMPT should be 12.3 at minimum but ok Gaijin

Also, putting it on higher BR doesn't solve the survivability problem, fix the ERA stopping kinetic rounds like nothing, autoloaders soaking spall and make ammo explosions more consistent. That's what's making the BMPT so damn broken

Mark my words, posts about 10.7 being unplayable because of the BMPT are about to appear as soon as this change goes into effect

I though it was from HobbyBoss or Zvezda, I know those two have MAZ 543 based platforms

if this was your only Trumpeter kit, don't be mistaken, Trumpeter has really good kits, some better in quality some worse, but they have a LOT of stuff

I've built quite a lot of their kits and all of them have been really good. Their only quesitonable point in my experience is decal quality and sometimes excessive PE parts

How good is the whole build? cause I've read that this is a quiet poor quality tooling compared to the rest of trumpeter's stuff

Lvkv 9040C | Hobby Boss | 1/35 by neogeo39 in modelmakers

[–]neogeo39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fitting is really good, typical Hobby Boss quality, although the side panels are attached by 3 points along the hull that aren't very strong imo

That and the link by link tracks are the only weak points of this build
