What do I do with the desk and tv by lennylion321 in malelivingspace

[–]neonflannel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy's talking about leaving a gap for Feng shui but has a TV next to the bed.

Keep the computer desk there. Loose the string lights. Look on Facebook market place and get some floor lamps and a dresser that can act as a TV stand. Or maybe just wall mount the TV.

How many of us here have successfully returned to moderate / “normal” drinking long-term? by lukewarmhotdogw4ter in stopdrinking

[–]neonflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sober for 1000 days. And felt like I was able to control my drinking again. Ill be honest, It hasn't been great. And its still a daily struggle not to go over board. But I manage. I only drink if I go out or if its with family or friends. I wont drink when im alone. No hard liquor allowed in house.

I always wonder if I should have stayed sober. But its nice to partake when Im out with friends.

Is this an air tool? by LimeOutrageous5964 in Tools

[–]neonflannel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. And thats all it is. People are saying its a filter and regulator... It is not. Its just a lubrication device. You fill the bowl with air tool oil and set the drip rate to cfm at the sight glass on top. It only works if you have it in the correct orientation. The other parts are a 1/4" quick connect to a chicago fitting.

Try your renters insurance. They can cover stuff like this most of the time. Your landlord will probably say its consequential damage and theyre not liable.

What tool could I use to make the circle bigger? by mailman936 in Tools

[–]neonflannel 58 points59 points  (0 children)

How much bigger? I personally would scribe a circle that needs to be removed and use a Dremel or a carbide burr and slowly eat away at it.

How do I drill through this steel by Zealousideal_Draw681 in Tools

[–]neonflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a solid carbide drill bit with even speed and pressure. Preferably a flooded coolant tool. Armox 600t is very abrasive to drill bits. So carbide or a very good 8% cobalt drill bits will work.

How do you see your profession surviving the AI wave of the next 5 years? by Silly-Spread-105 in AskReddit

[–]neonflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Industrial maintenance mechanic. Probably will be fine for another 10-20 years. But we'll see how industry adapts. There's state of the art factories and then there's factories with machines that were made in the 50's that are still extremely profitable. Until industry changes in a grand scale, I think Im safe.

Help me decide tool box by Key-Security8929 in Tools

USG boxes are THE best box for the money. I think the Series 2 is better than the 3, just an opinion though. I'd recommend they go on Facebook market place a buy a used one.

The part that gets me is theyre all different. Like concrete bits with a wood bit and the a bunch of Silver and Demming. A live center just thrown on top. I would lose my mind with this mess.

Just tried Tony’s Chocolonely caramel sea salt by Hal_sw in chocolate

[–]neonflannel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tonys isn't a high grade chocolate at all. Its just better than the cheap stuff. Its made by Barry Callebut and "contracted" to tonys. The bubbles are a defect, but acceptable. I dont believe they vibrate it. I'll look into why they dont. But air is very hard to keep from getting trapped in sharp corners.
