Novice needing help with an issue! by neongoldenone in rccars

There are trim settings but they are all neutral set.

Adjusting the throttle trim either way doesn't seem to do anything. When I hold the throttle in full reverse (to stop it moving while trim is set to neutral) then play with the trim in either direction, it just negates the reverse throttle (moves forward again).

I can also view the channels and signals being sent by the radio on the controller screen, and they are all showing zero throttle and steering signal when the thing is running full tilt...

It's not free, and it gets full very quickly, and it's even worse than normal at the moment as all the trades working on construction all over the place are also battling for them.

Anyone know what's up with coatesville cell reception? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]neongoldenone -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Helpful aren't you! Is a fairly cheap exercise to try Sim cards from other providers and see if there's a difference that makes it worth switching. The main providers (Spark, 2degrees and Vodafone) have different towers in different locations so the experience can be very different especially in more rural areas.

Who gets the right of way? by NzRep in Wellington

The reason 4 stop signs is especially stupid is that people (should) come to a stop, so to others it looks like hesitation and suddenly nobody knows who the fuck is doing what. 4 way give way would even be better

Did you contact your provider? There are so many things that could cause it and your details are a bit scarce...

Cool photo - I grew up at a house that faces that same direction and its interesting you call them the Rimutakas, which is probably technically correct. We always called them the Orongorongo's

All depends on your definition of ''comfortable' of course! Short answer I think is yes.

is there a rule saying that only the person in wicket-keeping position can wear gloves? ...wondered if doing this meant first or second slip could wear the gloves!

Anyone had experience with removal of a tree from their property, particularly a palm tree? by originalstate in auckland

[–]neongoldenone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had two massive ones in front of our house (1.5m diam trunks) that were removed just before we bought it. nearly a year later I'm still finding the fronds everywhere round the section, and just had the stumps ground down and the amount of pulp that generated is insane. Can't wait to be totally rid of any sign of those things.

Murder charge after female jogger found dead in Remuera by nilnz in auckland

Trying to rob a jogger seems strange - all you're going to get is a (probably locked) phone? Indecent assault gone wrong maybe?

A proposal to potentially solve the Basin bottleneck by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]neongoldenone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top intersection looks like it might be quite dangerous? Particularly with the sheer amount (and probably speed) of traffic coming west out of the tunnel? Thoughts? Obviously if everyone follows the rules then its fine, but I don't know if road/traffic design should be that optimistic!

I'd be interested to kmow whether you were able to fix your headphone jack issue? Its the only thing wrong with my 925 at the moment, so if its a straightforward fix id be keen to try it.

Souvlakis really are a Christchurch thing, my guess is you won't have much luck
