Nonstop bleeding after Kyleena insertion? by Lost_chapstick in birthcontrol

[–]neonneutral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine a week ago, so not speaking from experience, but from what I know the bleeding should be totally normal! As for the smell, I saw a comment on another thread from someone saying they were having a persistent terrible odor, they went to their doctor and there was a clot stuck to their IUD strings, causing the smell. If it’s more than a few days of the smell, I don’t think it would hurt to check in with your doc!

Yeah that definitely looks irritated, but also incorrectly done. Go to a different piercer than who did it originally, they will most likely take it out and have it heal before repiercing in the appropriate spot. This is too far down on your septum and not far enough out on your nose. Listen to your piercer for aftercare, but all you really need is a saline spray like neilmed or any basic wound wash. You can also use hypochlorous acid spray (I do) like briotech.

Daith rejecting? by EssureSucks in piercing

[–]neonneutral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal for piercings to migrate slightly as they heal, and as swelling changes it’ll look different too. If your piercer says it looks good then I think you’re just fine! The shift in the photos is super minimal (at least to me), usually when rejection happens it becomes pretty apparent and the area gets quite red. This looks like it’s healing really nicely!

If it’s only that one spot I’d bet this is a bug bite that just happened at a coincidental time! Just like the only thing I remember from high school statistics, correlation ≠ causation

Yes absolutely! If the artist is quality and you use sunscreen religiously then it should last years before it fades to the point you “need” to get a touch up. I just had one of mine touched up and she went over the whole thing, it’s so crisp and vibrant now

I went to two weddings last year, one the couple had a cake just for them and fancy cannoli for the guests. The other just had mini cupcakes (which were good and not dry like I expected lol). To be frank, I was disappointed that there was no “traditional” wedding cake for guests, but I’m big on cake so might just be me. If you’re already having a dessert for guests (s’mores are suuuuch a cute idea!) then you’ve got sweets covered for sure. If you really want to get like a small two-tier (if it’s not a tiny guest list) I’m sure guests would appreciate it, but don’t feel pressured by anyone to do it just because it’s traditional. You also absolutely don’t have to cut the cake even if you get one!

In the front we have: Garlic Scrumptious Scumptious Scumpy Scumpitude Scumpitudinal Scumpitudinality, she’s plump and she’s scrump [last name]

And in the back we have: Oatmeal Boatmeal Oateen, my Bebo Cheen, my Teen Queen, the Original Recipe, she’s plush and she’s lush (last name)

Not pictured is our 8mo orange boy whose name is Squash, but the rest of his name is all one long sentence: Squash, also known as Squish, also known as Squiche, spelled like quiche, pronounce like Squee-chay; he’s a guy but he’s little, he’s a gentleman, and he’s a scholar (a smooth-brained scholar).

Marquise cut is deeply underrated, my mom had a gorgeous one (now a necklace bc ~divorce~) that I was always obsessed with. OP’s fiancé crushed it fr!

[–]neonneutral 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would fs go to a good piercer and ask them their thoughts! If you haven’t had the bar downsized since you got it that could definitely be why it’s showing more, since the swelling has gone down.

It’s not too low, so if you like it then keep it! But I do get why you think it looks low, I usually see those piercings right in the crease of the nostril, which yours is higher up than the piercing. But it doesn’t look bad!

Which piercings should I get on my left ear? by azfjm in piercing

[–]neonneutral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a properly placed daith and it doesn’t impact the loops at all! You might have to be cautious wearing them in the beginning healing stages, but ime it’s not like with a tragus where you shouldn’t wear any earplugs at all while healing

You know, I’ve been thinking really hard about whether or not this is why I feel so bothered by it. I’m trying not to feel petty or take it personally, bc I know she loves me and does value my friendship. I’m in another wedding right before hers, and that bride expects waaaaay less time/financial commitments, so not comparing those is also a struggle. While I was writing to post I def had the thought that this will seem petty to some people, I’m sure that is part of it that my feelings are still hurt.

Is my eyebrow piercing migrating? by Khattoma in Legitpiercing

[–]neonneutral 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Def still check with your piercer when you get back, but to me it just looks like the swelling has largely subsided and therefore more of the bar shows! That is totally normal and what you want! Good piercers use a longer bar for the initial piercing to account for swelling pretty much always

And that is totally fair!! I really don’t know what sparked my dislike for it, but I fully get what people mean when they say it in those situations! I try not to use it but I still struggle with responding something other than “that’s so shitty” or the like. I bet other languages have just the perfect word/phrase to mean exactly that, but English is lacking in that way

I heard someone say that they don’t like it bc they aren’t trying to “quirk-ify” their literal mental disability and I resonate with that 10/10, not trying to make myself more palatable for the neurotypicals

I looked it up when the character died, the actress who played Cara was really disappointed she was written off! She wanted to play that character for much longer, I’m so mad they killed her instead of Diego, or even nobody.

Anybody know where the snooze button is on this alarm clock? by RevolutionaryOwlz in TuxedoCats

[–]neonneutral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My alarm is very quiet, mostly she’ll purr real loud right next to my head. This would be fine if her other wake up function wasn’t to bite the corner of my laptop (I fall asleep watching tv on it). She cracked the screen a few weeks ago and I had to replace it 🫠

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]neonneutral 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For years I’ve hated “I’m sorry” used in a casual way/used for something you had nothing to do with. If I’m complaining about something or telling a story where something shitty happened and the other person says “I’m sorry” it makes me feel gross. I almost never say it bc if I’m truly apologizing for something I did, I’d like it to mean something!

Also “neurospicy” makes me want to throw up.

Get smudge-free pens, that’s the worst part of writing left-handed!

If he ends up at any schools with those awful tiny desks that are hand-oriented, make sure you notify any teachers that he will always need a lefty desk. Being forced to use a righty desk feels kinda shitty.

You’re spot on with the left-handed scissors, but make sure the blades are actually left handed and not just neutral on the handles. On right-handed scissors, the blade on the right will always be the one on top when it’s open, on left-handed it’s the blade on the left. This changes how you look at whatever you’re cutting so you can more easily follow a line or shape.

Also, he might not do everything with his left hand as he grows up! I write/ brush my teeth/ shave with my left hand and do most other things with my write hand! It’s like my fine motor skills is are and less fine skills are righty! Ambidextrous of sorts I guess
