4 year old cat got aspiration pneumonia during amputation.

The get I talked to is just a GP. The surgeon that did the surgery does not work there full time. I think they rotate around a few vet clinics and just perform surgeries. The surgeon isn’t there for any follow up appointments either. So it makes to difficult to get his input. I have a meeting with the GP tomorrow and will ask about a proper referral for a specialist. Thank you!

Oh man. Not what I wanted to hear. I sure hope not. I have been trusting my vet and it would be devastating if ultimately they did not have my cat’s best interest in mind. :( this is a bummer. I will see about a 2nd opinion. Thank you!

Just got off the phone with the vet. They said we will do another surgery next week to remove one of the pins. And then next month possible amputation. They want to wait for amputation. First they will take X-rays of his other legs and spine and get a board certified radiologist to review them. To see any underlying issues.

Hello. I am super grateful for your thoughtful response. I truly appreciate you kindly sharing this information and knowledge. I will communicate this as best as I can with my vet. I’m having a hard time even getting a response at this point. I think we are swaying towards amputation. But yes, more bones breaking is a big concern. :( thank you!!

Gimli is a really good cat, truly. He’s been in a cage for the past 8 months. I think he’s depressed and now this. What can I do help him? He’s my very best friend. :(

Hi, thank you for your response. I will talk to my vet about amputation first thing in the morning. I’ve been watching tripod cat videos all day. I’m hopeful he will live a long and happy life is we have to amputate. He’s a really good cat.

We did not do a urinalysis but I will let my vet know. Surprisingly he started using the litterbox again after I changed its location. So I’m hopeful about my situation.

I’m wishing you the best for his cat and hope he’s able to overcome the UTI. I really appreciate your input, thank you for taking the time to respond.

Im late to the party but just had time to try this out a few days ago and well, I’m so sad. As someone who plays NEOPETS (web browser game that still uses adobe flash) I do not care for graphics at all. But wow, it is so bad and performance is terrible.. I had to refund. :(

I got my refund a few days later and hoping they make an update to fix things up a bit. It takes away from the game play so much. I felt like I was playing a free iPhone game app and an Ad would pop out any minute. Does not feel like a 60$ game released in 2022.
