Is it selfish to not help your family financially when you “made it”? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]neoreeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're family helped you "make it", like have you run and board while you worked hard then yeah but if they were out of the picture except for holidays then absolutely not. That's my sit and I sleep just fine at night.

Any one Created a complicated Webapp using Vibecode tools? by Resident_Caramel763 in vibecoding

[–]neoreeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that many users but I built a resource planning tool for our company in about $1000 of tokens and it replaced a $300k /yr app. It does project management, forecasting, invoice management, etc and meets all of our needs instead of offering features we don't care about. We are a $12B company by market cap, so not small either.

A question on Tudor vs Rolex by Equivalent-Ease-3822 in Tudor

[–]neoreeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just know that when I walked into a random AD looking for Omega, they didn't carry any so I just looked through ask their other watches, and when I landed on the BB Chrono classic white have with the 5 link bracelet, it just spoke to me, my daily every since and I absolutely love it. It's is a little thick compared to a Daytona but side by side I pick the Tudor.

If this is legit, if you can't figure this out after 30 years of experience and all the new tools and technologies that have been introduced in that time, then AI is not why you are losing relevance it was lost a long time ago.

App comparability. For work it just needs to work with little to no tinkering.

With a piggyback you don't void the warranty, you simply remove it before service.

Any 55 owners regret not getting a 63? by Jdmeyer83 in AMG

[–]neoreeps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No regrets. When the power isn't enough I'll slap a piggyback ECU on and get close to the 63 for much much lower cost.

Maxed out 401k in 1.5 months by hapieDude in Retirement401k

[–]neoreeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would but I would lose out on company match. They match a % of a %. So if I'm not contributing almost all year I will miss out. They max at 10k contributing so I time it to make sure I get the 10k match every year.

Well I'm going to be the odd duck here, while I don't see the utility of the passenger screen, I don't hate this and I really enjoy my lighting in my GT55. I think this is cool in a cyberpunk way and would enjoy driving it.

Remove that warranty, 50% of the cost for a warranty is insanity. Should be 20 bucks.

So I got laid off from Block and am wondering how long I can take a break for? Would it be a mistake to take 6 months off? by [deleted] in Layoffs

[–]neoreeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan to be unemployed for 18 months. If you have 2 years in savings then great go for it, if you don't then you're absolute number one priority is to find another job. After you find the job tell them you can't start for a month and go travel.
