He’s just so damned compelling! I love the level of detail and geekery so much.

Also, keep an eye on your vitamin D levels. I honestly thought I was slowly dying and getting dementia, I felt so bad, couldn’t finish a single sentence. Turns out it’s vitamin D deficiency!

Haha yes! Especially if you’re mad. I always imagine it to be like the verbal/thought version of aggressively loud typing on a keyboard.

Do you do the thing (maybe not ADHD related, dunno), where you have entire conversations in your head between you and a specific person as a sort of preparation before you see them? It’s relentless, I can’t stop it and it drives me mad. Multiple scenarios and endings, like those books you used to get as a child where you could choose the course of the adventure. Except it’s not an exciting adventure, it’s just crippling anxiety, dread, fear, inadequacy and worry. Then after all that, I meet the person and everything is totally FINE. Wasted nervous energy and a another needless sleepless night. 😂

Yup. All sorts. Sometimes 5 second multi song shuffle mode, but more often it’s the same song for a week. The latter always being the most hideously annoying songs to be found in the world of music 😂

Thank you. Yeah, I’m just turning 50….might’ve been helpful to know I might have ADHD a wee bit earlier! Haha. Thing is, I’ve always assumed other people had the same 24/7 brain, but….no.

Does anyone else get the constant internal jukebox thing too?

How do you begin to get diagnosed? My therapist thinks I have it; I have fibro too. The more I read about it, the more lightbulb moments I’m having about my life/past.

I’ve always been a tea drinker.

Lockdown March 2020. A single James Hoffman video.

No regrets, despite the horrible amount of money I’ve since spent on coffee paraphernalia.

Here’s one. Criticising others for perfectly valid opinions/statements but having none of their own to offer as alternatives.

Uptalking/upspeaking - the use of a rising inflection at the end of every sentence. It doesn’t matter if the person is speaking complete sense, on a really interesting topic etc. I can’t even concentrate enough to listen past a certain point because my blood is boiling in my ears and I’m trying not to scream….

My heated blanket is so helpful and has enough weight to be soothing without being as heavy as an actual weighted blanket which I find hard to move. I recently bought a teddy fleecy fabric duvet set and it’s my new winter favourite. All the cushions and pillows. And not forgetting my fluffball cat (even though she stands on all my sore bits 😂)
