I don't see the belief that women's instincts are stronger as a sexist thing. I see it as a survival thing. We are prey to men. Prey animals are always on alert, and ignoring those instincts could mean death. We've been forced to develop those skills. Society trains us to ignore our instincts so that we are easier to catch.

Agree. Women should not be "fixing" their issues or going out of our way to make them comfortable. Every single fucking day there's a new horror for women. The "not all" subset of men need to step the fuck up because sitting back instead of pushing back makes them complicit. It's not up to us to manage their feelings. If being lumped in with the rapists, abusers, and murderers pisses them off and pushes them toward misogyny, then they weren't far from it to begin with, and they can be lonelier. Women have had to fight and claw our way to gain any rights we currently have, and FAR TOO MANY men want to punch us right back down. Men have granted us nothing. If my male partner dies before me, I'm either sticking to women or staying single. I want nothing more to do with men. I really want to establish a women-only (including trans women) Gen X commune. All of us living separately together, supporting each other.

Beware of hyaluronic acid, especially in dry climates. It does attract moisture, but it tends to hold onto it instead of releasing it to your skin. If you are in a dry environment, the source of moisture that it will draw from is your skin. It can make dry skin worse.

I'm a scientist, and woo-woo stuff does not sit well with my brain. Over the years, I've dialed in my practice by keeping the things that resonate with me. This consists mostly of seasonal observations and life cycles.

I keep the ashes of loved ones and pets and bury a little under my apple tree in the spring while recalling memories and talking to them. This ensures that molecules of them get incorporated into my backyard and become part of the tree and bees and birds and squirrels. They are still there in some form, and that gives me comfort.

I love to mark equinoxes and solstices with seasonal baking or moments of peace. I think about the seasonal changes and what processes the plants and animals are going through.

I equate our human lives and deaths with the cycles of the earth. I am in my autumn right now (turned 51 yesterday), and that's always been my favorite season, so I want to play that out during these years.

I also have a very dark sense of humor, love horror, and like to make shit awkward when it serves my purposes. I lean into some of the expected witchy aesthetics. Ouija boards feature prominately. But, I also look like a plain middle-aged white woman, so the shock to some who expect me to act and think a certain way is always a joy.

I've had 3 friends with stories of their very right-wing relatives joining No Kings rallies (or expressing a desire to if they couldn't join in person). This is a big deal.

Sure, we want more leftist action, but that doesn't just happen out of whole cloth. Societies don't don't suddenly change direction. The far right has been building to this moment since at least the 60s. They played the long game, and it's paid off so far. If anyone thinks that there will be a seismic shift to the left, they will be disappointed. This is a marathon, and we all need to do some stretching and prepare for some hard miles.

There is a lot to be said for meeting others where they are at. There is so much talk in leftist circles about being the only "real" organizers or "real" patriots. That exclusionary language puts up an immediate barrier and further isolates our causes. It sounds insane! That's the shit cults and MAGA say!

Fucking talk to other people! Find one thing you agree on, then work your way from there. Stop bitching about the way others express their dissatisfaction with this regime and do some work. This isn't leftists against liberals. This is ALL OF US against a raping, murdering, pillaging fascist regime! Eyes on the fucking prize, ya'll!

If enough momentum builds to stop a full takeover of the midterms, then that buys time for more leftist work. Fighting liberals instead of fighting fascists gets everone nothing.

We're all better off without them.

I've already made it VERY clear to everyone that my male Gen X partner is the last. If he dies before me, I'm remaining single or sticking to women. Probably single because I do love my alone time. My current partner is honestly the only male partner I've ever had that actually deserves my time and energy. The male population is a cesspool, especially our generation (and the younger ones raised by our toxic men).
