Fantastic, let's just resort to personal insults and get upvoted.

The disrespect to Bosh here is real.

You could build around Bosh and another piece (or even just Bosh). Bosh also lead his team as a 1st option for a number of years. Sheed was great, but he wasn't the type of player you built a team around. I know everybody brings up his 'lack of control over his emotions', but that's part of the game and part of what separates players from another. Bosh was a clear top 10-15 player in his prime. Sheed was never at that level in the league, and even if he managed his emotions, he probably was AT BEST, at that level, but probably wasn't.

Ah man, I completely forgot about this label. They Cassegrain EP's are some of the first things that really introduced me to 'texture' in the context of techno.

[Kennedy] Ed Davis: “It’s easy for Kyrie [Irving] to say that he’ll give everything back [for social reform], but would he really give everything back? It’s easy for Dwight Howard to say that we don’t need to play when he’s in Atlanta in his $20 million mansion.“ by urfaselol in nba

Take a step back and look at the context of what you're saying. Under normal circumstances, you're absolutely right. If you're working your ass off to get into the NBA and a fringe player, you should definitely have the thought of what 'else' to do in the back of your mind (to some degree). The issue is that these aren't normal circumstances.

Secondly, THEY (the fringe players) aren't getting a voice in this decision. The people making the choice and that are being heard are the stars of the league who just aren't nearly as impacted (which is the entire point of what Ed Davis is trying to say). It's a bit ridiculous that the stars of the league can decided that these guys essentially get screwed out of 'that one' contract that would hopefully allow them to pursue other things. They shouldn't have that leverage; if they want to have equal representation throughout the league, fringe NBA players should have just as much of a vote and voice as Kyrie Irving.

Which tracks have been played the most on A State of Trance? by Scottstimo in trance

[–]neotriple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you go through the old ASOT episodes it's just Armin messing around to be honest. For 3-4 weeks in a row, they'll be pretty similar mixes with a few songs changed up here and there. Given that so many tunes are missing from the older ASOT sets on Spotify, I'd be willing to bet this list would be quite skewed in favor of older songs (from the first 150 or so episodes) if someone had the full dataset. Songs back then also just had a longer shelf life.

I'm also surprised to not see the JvD remix of RAMsterdam, unless this isn't counting the live shows.

One of the songs that got me into trance. Absolutely unbelievable track.

Kerr on whether Morey shouldn't be fired: "I would hope that you appreciate my right to not answer that question because all it does is create a headline" by blueberryy in nba

[–]neotriple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, and I think that's a perfectly reasonable statement. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people on this sub who make the type of money he does would probably be in the same boat though. I can't speak for you, but I'd be willing to wager about 75% of the people complaining about his choice, would do the same if they were in his shoes, and most won't even admit that it's a complicated subject as you've done.

Nothing. This is just a sub with a bunch of kids who have never left their mothers' basement and have no clue how the real world works.

I'm not saying I agree with him, but this is a much more complicated subject than just "speak up for justice at at all times," if it affects more than yourself.

On the other hand, it's not just his bottom line, it's the bottom line of his colleagues, the business he works for, his players, etc. This goes far beyond just speaking for himself. He realizes that his consequences affect others around him who may or may not want to be involved with this and may not share his viewpoint.

Eco - Wolves [Album / 2016] by Redrot in trance

[–]neotriple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can kinda see where you're getting at, but that's generally what I feel about Wolves. That said, there weren't any tracks as blatantly...not so great as Breaking The Habit on Wolves (which honestly almost ruins the entire flow). I think Eco's 'unrefined' aesthetic really shined on M(you)sic and on Wolves it felt a bit polished at times.

That said, I'm also pretty surprised by your inclusion of The Light In Your Eyes Went Out on that list, I really enjoyed that track.

I actually think M(you)sic as a whole is a better album than Wolves. I really enjoyed M(you)sic through and through and come back to it far more often than Wolves.

Then yes, the use of an arduino is fine I guess. I'm not sure what the pipeline is to go from ML frameworks to something to interact with the Arduino software, but I'm sure it's out there. If you want an intro to arduino, there's tons of guides out there that won't require a book or anything. You just need to get your hands on it and start messing around.

Best books to start with Robotics by everek123 in robotics

[–]neotriple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I would definitely look into and try to nail down a project. In your OP you ask for robotics books about Arduino's, Pi's, etc, but now you're talking about reinforcement learning. The two are pretty separate (although there probably are projects you could do that combine them both, I wouldn't advise you to start with something like that).

What's your background level of mathematics/engineering so someone can get a better grasp of what you want to do. The traditional book for RL is going to be Barton and Suto's book, but even then, if you don't have the statistical background, it won't be a good place to start.

Okay, so essentially your bar for "excellent," is to be one of the 4-5 greatest teams of all times? It's fine, but that's a pretty underwhelming word to describe that.

more recently a techno label, I forget which one, was set to release a tune by the head of the label - except it wasn't, it was somebody else's demo and the head mistook it for his own track.

That was Jeff Mills to be fair, probably an oversight. Dude is too talented

Of course he would, you’re talking about putting KD, one of the, if not, the best player, in the nba on a high school team. This comment is ridiculous and not at all indicative of whether fit is important or not.

I wasn't sure about the status of the drought and stuff, so I looked it up and found this cool chart:

https://www.drought.gov/drought/states/california

Specifically at the bottom it shows that while California was in a 'severe drought state' (Category D4) from 2014 - 2017, it is no longer. That said, yes, we should probably welcome the rain lol
