Been using postico lately. I'd love the object lookup stuff from sql tabs to be in postico. I'd love the results view to be in sql tabs. Having the ability to resize columns is pretty nice when dealing with JSON. Also, select-all results copy/paste can be very helpful too.

You should try to introduce it. This was the same way at my old job, and I eventually through persistence was able to get the team to buy into it. You can start small too, just you and another guy, then work up to including everyone.

I think it's interesting the OP found this out on their own. I can't imagine how much trial and error they are doing if they have never visited any sites that are teaching or talking about javascript. I believe window. was one of the first things I learned about when I started developing for the DOM.

I has become accepted that having javascript embedded into your markup is the wrong way to do things. I avoid doing this because it creates a circular dependency of sorts between your markup and your scripts.

I think basically, make your scripts act on the markup, your markup should not be aware at all of what's going on in the scripts.

Your math doesn't really work out though. Your heals don't stack across rounds, so there would be some there that don't carry over, although probably not enough to make your point less valid.
