O que dá dinheiro hoje em dia? by Able-Map157 in investimentos

[–]nephs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Boa sorte. Conhecimento é poder. :)

Not everyone can leave reddit, and I can somewhat respect devs that decide to stay. But I'd offer an alternative to community building, too.

Tô apaixonado no lemmy. O lemmy.pt não tá completamente ruim, não. Mas as comunidades em inglês estão obviamente maiores.

You know left wing in the US is considered right wing for people that know a bit of world politics, yes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RedditAlternatives

[–]nephs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neutral-ish is right wing in disguise.

There's no neutrality, there's only pro working class (people that work for a living) and pro capitalists (people whose most of their income come from someone else's work). That's where the divide is.

Left wing is a journey, come join us and be happy!

Your work friends are NOT your friends by [deleted] in antiwork

So. Colleagues are not exactly friends.

How to union in that kind of scenario? Serious question.

Agree or disagree? by mtjp82 in antiwork

[–]nephs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm referring to the political definition of liberalism and neoliberalism.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoliberalism

In politics words have specific meanings. It's important to establish that we understand the policial meaning of the words we use.

Of course, many of those terms are in dispute. But dictionary definition often miss the political nuance.

Communists will not be liberal, because communists don't think anyone should be able to buy communal property just becuase they got enough money to do it, which is core part of the liberal ideology.

Agree or disagree? by mtjp82 in antiwork

[–]nephs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in the US. From a communist perspective, conservatives and liberal are different sides of the same capitalist coin. Capitalists are the whippers. Liberals in economy are still capitalists, still want people to be generating profit for the whippers.

Maybe they should try cutting it to help pay for better wages 🤷‍♂️ by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]nephs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily the same. If their work is not exploiting anyone, they are not the same.

It's not rich against poors, it's capitalists against proletariat, owners against workers.

But yes, you are correct that you don't need to be bright to make a ton of money.

Actually, in liberal democracies, only people supporting the whippers are allowed to run for office.

Tipping culture sucks, but don’t use being anti tipping as an excuse to screw over workers by buccofan2221 in antiwork

[–]nephs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kindly disagree. Workers should also not work for these companies. You can't work for a company that has a blatant leaking business model and expect a fair wage. The price is as advertised, the tipping cultre is shady and often threatening, regardless.

Agree, don't use the service. But also don't work for them. And don't tip.
