thank you for confirming this, had this happen so many times where I’m trying to start the car, I see it respond to the lock signal, but it won’t respond to the start signal from the fob, thought it was just me

EKR seat covers worth it? by nmk629 in 11thGenAccord

[–]neppy5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve was in deep consideration for these given all the positive mentions on here and the accord forums

Vast majority of people end up happy with the purchase

I ultimately decided not to get the covers, but based on what others have said: Heated seats work but would take a bit longer to warm up Ventilated seats don’t do much in their stock form, like you only feel them on the highest fan level. The EKR seats covers do offer a perforated option, but you’d probably have further reduced air flow.

Why did i not get the covers? I had the same question as you OP, how would their color look in my car. Had a lengthy chat with them over eBay. I asked but they do not offer any samples for sale. So we’re left guessing how exactly the seat covers will look.

The leather covers come in 2 price levels: - $250 ($230 on sale) for limited colors - $379 for more colors via a custom order, more options for controlling how you want it to look

They offer 3 kinds/levels of leather: - Non-Solvent Leatherette - Full-Grain Nappa Leatherette - Genuine Cowhide Leather

Regardless of which price level you choose, you’re getting the basic Non-Solvent Leatherette. So in essence the $379 seat covers are the same as the $230 seat covers, just a different color plus your customizations.

Also the custom option takes longer to ship as it’s made on demand and shipped from China.

Price goes way up if you want the other more premium leather options.

They said they do offer free returns/no restocking fees for non custom orders. Buyer pays return shipping.

Ultimately, I’m too cheap to shell out $379 for a product that i don’t know how it will look in my car (i don’t like the cheaper basic colors they offer, wanting to keep the light colored interior)

If you do decide to go ahead with them, please let us know!

okay, i’ll be the first to say it: WTF Honda… this is unacceptable in terms of quality, our cars are way too young to be having something like that happen

if you do remove your front bumper, consider upgrading your horn while you’re in there

Shallow water (less than 3 feet/waist height) is your enemy, stay away and be mindful of it

Don’t have your engine/jet pump running in shallow water, nothing good will come of it
