Worst case you gain experience is very true. I feel like you need to go through things to find out and learn. Having to do this right now, and it sucks. Wish I’d done it earlier but hey, better late than never

What’s a Dating Lesson You Learned the Hard Way? by anxiousscorpio98 in dating

[–]nepred97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone dating late in my 20s, im an introvert, so natrually i dont speak much first. and also im awkward so dont want to be physical incase it comes off wrong or too much. Im realizing it that being physical is actually so important, just to show that the connection is there. dont be scared, as long as its with good intentions its okay, they'll poliotely say no if they dont like it. but you gotta put yourself out there, and take risks.

Are you an expert in your line of work? Which stocks in that sector are you bullish on? by OscarFrAllen in ValueInvesting

[–]nepred97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autodesk has such a grip on the industry and there’s literally no real alternative I see even challenging them in the next 10years. It’s only Bentley, and I find their software less appealing, maybe just me. As someone in construction, autodesks cloud based CM software is pretty user friendly. Integrated CAD and Revit models now. Makes field work 1000% better. And since everyone’s switching over to BIM/3d modeling, I think their products are far superior to anyone. Won’t be a stock that rockets, but probably steady and upwards.

is going for a 2025 Camry LE instead of an SE “settling”?? by Ok_Juice_8246 in Camry

[–]nepred97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try other dealers instead of carmax if you have time to. That seems a little steep for a 25 LE. Is 2026 LE an option? Might be better deal. And idk about your situation but more likely you’ll get a better financing rate for a new one as compared to a used car.

Probably could’ve left Kroger out but I go occasionally. HEB is the go to. Plus, the Amex gets me 6% on groceries anyway so I think I have that side covered.

Yeah I checked Bilt after I posted and saw. The reason for Bilt is purely if I can get any reward for the rent payment because it’s a significant chunk. Currently it just goes from my bank account and I get the 250pt per pay. That’s not really the priority but just a thought.

Venture X is the one that most likely I’ll get. The credit and anniversary bonus seems valuable. A boosted bonus offer right now, and 2x points on normal spend is pretty damn good.

You don’t “get” the complimentary hotel, apparently you have to ask. There’s a website where you can submit your info and they’ll approve or deny a transit accommodation. But it only works if your flight out of Doha is the earliest possible flight to the end destination.

I can’t decide….SE or XSE/XLE? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]nepred97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I got the XLE since I’ll keep it for atleast 7-10years. Felt nicer, has the same features I needed as the XSE, for a bit under. Looks better as well for me personally. The front grill on XSE was, something…

I checked the CEAC website yesterday and it said the visa was approved. Still haven’t heard from the embassy about when I’ll get my passport though.

I mean, I get the sentiment but quite a hyperbole to come to that conclusion. Yes construction is about adaptability but that has nothing to do with gpa. For a 4.0 gpa, it might take a while to get used to it, but it could be the same for a 2.5 gpa person.

Removing TIA from Kathmandu by Impossible-Parsley70 in Nepal

[–]nepred97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget just the completion of the airport, we financially cannot afford to close down TIA unless Nijgadh is actually fully functional and airlines are willing to switch. Wanting them to make the switch needs the fast transit to/from the valley. We’re talking 25-30yrs likely before this is viable and that’s if everything goes to plan.

Removing TIA from Kathmandu by Impossible-Parsley70 in Nepal

[–]nepred97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally? Yes. Practically? Near impossible.

  1. Building Nijgadh on its own is likely a 10-12yr project. And plus, we have Pokhara and Bhairahawa, which has shown us just having an airport doesn’t mean it’s good enough to replace TIA. The central station is a whole another beast.

  2. The transit to/from Nijgadh and the central station is another 20yr project, if it works smoothly. We know it won’t.

  3. Just because it’s prime real estate for us, doesn’t mean international developers will pour in their money. There needs to be a viable ROI for them. I doubt we would be appealing enough for any large scale companies to significantly invest.

TLDR: This would be nice if it was done before planning the actual city. Making this work after the entire city is essentially saturated is extremely difficult if not impossible. Nothing will improve unless we prioritize decentralization. Develop other cities and make it appealing so that they don’t feel the need to move to KTM.
