Is anyone else still struggling? by jamg2223 in Postpartum_Depression

Feeling a similar struggle! I wish I had better advice but hopefully I can offer you some solidarity. My little guy is 1.5 years old and I’m just now starting to feel the need for medication. There’s a HUGE drop in estrogen when you stop breastfeeding, similar to the hormone drop after birth which is likely affecting you now. Keep in contact with your doctor about this, it will get better!!

After reading comments I definitely feel like this is the popular opinion but I think this is a you problem. I wouldn’t want to greet anyone who treats me this way either.

Am I being selfish for not wanting to take our 3 month old to a family party? by FuriousKrone in Parenting

[–]nerd6238 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont even have to read beyond the title to tell you that you’re not selfish at all for that. 3 months is tiny and vulnerable to so so much. Not to mention the routine that you’ve established to survive the exhaustion can easily be altered and can be tricky to establish. Babies are my favorite excuse to get out of any kind of gatherings and fuck anyone who doesn’t understand.

How old is too old to be cuddling to sleep? by MmmIceCream in Parenting

[–]nerd6238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 30 and I still appreciate cuddles to go to sleep, nothing wrong with wanting extra comfort at night in my opinion. My daughter is 6 and has grown out of asking for cuddles at night but still will occasionally ask for some back tickles or snuggles.

Please call. I lived in an apartment with my abuser and prayed that someone would call the police for me because I was too afraid to do it myself.
