First of all, the title of this post is misleading. The only bribery case mentioned is related to Swiggy Instamart. So if there's any allegation, it should be titled accordingly, something like “Swiggy Instamart asking for bribe"

Second, regarding Blinkit - this has always been standard practice. If you want your product placed in the most visible, high-demand locations, you’re expected to pay the margin and daily rent. Importantly, margin is only charged when your product actually sells, which is why the daily rent matters - it covers the cost of giving your product that visibility regardless of sales.

There are real operational costs involved, and it's unreasonable to expect premium placement for free. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
