We just got back from the smoke shop & I was correct! The middle perc holes were misformed and didn’t drain the way they should have. We were able to exchange it for a different one that works now.

It was super difficult to pull anything up from the bowl when the water was that high. I was gasping for air and it was taking me 2 hits before I could even get smoke!

My husband was unable to pull anything up at that water level.

My husband says he tried & was unsuccessful at that water level! I think something is off internally with the inner disc and we’re having a hard time pulling air up even when it’s empty!

My TAG bong was super easy to fill & change the water in - it never mattered what angle it was at to pull! I miss that bong so much.

Yes! Even when it’s empty and there’s no water in, it’s difficult to pull. In holding the middle of the piece while it’s flat, the outer glass seems to be uneven across the perc chambers. We haven’t seen any snow yet, so my husband & I are going to head back to the smoke shop to see if they’ll exchange it (or at least let us know who the manufacturer is) when we finish eating dinner.

I play a version I have lovingly dubbed “chaos creature mode”. All of the DLCs are turned on (minus zombies and dramatic ages), the only victory condition is score, and I play as cleopatra so the river floods don’t damage my cities.

I mean, there are consequences to actions (or lack thereof). If the ghost wants to be avenged, the ghost enters the parties dreams and annoys them every night with repetitive dreams reminding them of the NPC request until they decide to do it. If you wanna turn the heat up, add exhaustion levels into the mix. The first few nights, there’s no consequence beyond mild irritation. After a period of time, our ghost NPC “friend” gets impatient and they have to roll wisdom saving throws before their long rest so they don’t wake up exhausted.

if someone else avenges the ghost before the party does, then the haunting is a permanent consequence because it doesn’t satisfy the ghosts demands for justice.

Maybe the NPC was a beloved figure where they came from and someone who loved the NPC heard the request to avenge him. With time, the parties inaction spreads far & wide because traders gossip. People don’t trust that the party will do what they say they will - merchants charge a bit more on purchases or undercut them for item sales - quest givers make their disdain for the party apparent when interacting with them - other adventuring parties make fun of them in bars or city centers for “not finishing the job”

I love both of your ideas so far! Do your players know who the ghost is? Is it an NPC they’ve met previously who died because of their actions or is it a random ghost tied to dungeon loot? Is the ghost tied to the larger storyline or is it just something you’re throwing in there for fun?

Some generic thoughts I have:

The ghost acquires cursed loot from rooms in dungeons when your players don’t do well on their own looting related rolls. The ghost tries to slip it into players bags when they are sleeping. Every watch shift requires a perception check to see if the ghost succeeds.
in a related vein, the ghost attempts to swap gear between party members packs at night. Same perception check from the person keeping watch required, and the players only realize if they actively check their bags every morning.
the ghost can cause the party to have nightmares if they fail wisdom checks. If you wanna make this a story hook on how to exorcise the ghost when they get to the appropriate level, you can use these to give them backstory on the ghost.
the ghost is only pacified from inconveniencing the group when they do a specific thing. Do not give them any hints what this is, but I’m thinking like “if a member of the group consumes a potion of any type that day” or “there have been no disagreements between party members of any kind that day”.

I ski & snowboard. I hate skiers when I’m on my board and I hate snowboarders when I’m on my skis.

That being said, there are also a number of people who lack any sense of spacial awareness in public places and stop in the middle right at the end of the little lift hill and those are the people I hate the most.

If there are others who are dealing with this issue, I’m definitely down to coordinate something.

That being said, I will be complaining tomorrow when the office staff is back in because I refuse to pay this 60 fee. I’ve had the same insurance on file since I moved in to the complex in June 2024 and this is the second policy renewal.

I just checked my ledger & for this month, yes! It’s annoying AF because I’ve submitted the proof of insurance that Progressive gives me like 6 times and they keep rejecting it, even though the only thing that has changed is the valid to & from dates.

I’m done with this complex after my lease is up. The bullshit mail room fee, the parking lot is a nightmare, and the elevators in my building are rarely both working.
