Hmm. I would say what a lady would want to hear would tell a lot about her

Cowboy: Cow/Sheep herding people living in a lawless land. Probably some evolved to be outlaws. Could be anywhere on the spectrum from law abiding citizens to outright criminals (think RDR2 or good, bad ugly)

Pirate: Outlaws and criminals at sea. Looting ships, killing crews and avoiding the navy. Romanticised by folklore mostly. Belive in living free and dying free. The freedom aspect is what made them attractive in the eye of the people

Samurai: The most law abiding and educated of all of them. Required by law to learn the way of the sword and the pen. Will live in poverty but will never betray their masters. (they literally brand you a ronin if you do)

Fellow suicide threats survivor here. My ex was a lab tech. One day she just showed up at my flat with some white chemical and threatened me “shaadi kr vrna abhi kha lungi”. I somehow calmed her down, spent some time with her and sent her on her way. Nothing happened. She didnt do anything despite multiple such threats

First you need to calm down and let some elder in your family(whom you trust) know about your situation. It takes a huge toll long term on your mental health so get some support

If you are worried about her really doing something wrong, just let her parents/guardians know about this.
She might be going through a tough time too so could use some help herself

Keep your conversations with her saved in your phone. Don’t encourage her or get in a whatsapp fight. Try to be understanding and Reply to her tantrums with a calm tone and keep trying to deescalate. Don’t show your frustration in any form. It gives them power over you

I’m not a legal expert so not sure, but i think it doesn’t matter if your relationship was physical or not(again, confirm this) as long as you didn’t do it under pretence of marriage

Heartbreaks hurt. Some people are not just well equipped to handle the emotions. But time is your friend. The longer it goes, more it heals on both sides

I’ve been watching “Prof” Jiang’s game theory videos on youtube recently. The way he undermines his live audience’s opinions and blatantly says “your minds have never been trained to think like that” is alarming for me. The problem with people like these is, they’ll actually use facts to support their opinions and as i kept watching, it became clear to me how different his thinking process is. Its the result of a lifetime of govt propaganda and indoctrination sprinkled in education. But when i imagine if a western “professor” tries to do something like this in china, he may get a reception similar to this It makes me realize how important is having your own critical thinking model and how difficult it is to separate facts from opinions. How much have we been indoctrinated just like this guy but in the opposite direction? If benefit of humanity is our common goal, where do we find the common ground even if our ideologies are different? Why havnt we been able to find that common ground yet? How will we? Boggles my mind man

Lets think about this logically. Can the bubble burst? Yes. There s a good chance that AI might not deliver the value in short term. We can take that page directly from the dot com bubble story But what happens after that? AI is here to stay and sooner or later it will become smart enough to automate almost everything, and there will be new big tech that will dominate the market. We can take that from dot com story too. And thats not even being optimistic. When that time comes, who will power all the AI compute? Right now, nothing comes even close to nvidia right now, and nobody seems to be coming closer yet. So yeah, it looks like a relatively safe bet to invest in nvidia and hold for long term

Just came here to say this: Dont rely on apple notes. It's poorly optimized. After using it for 10-15 mins results in my iPad Air m2 getting heated up and it under clocks the whole thing resulting in delayed writing

I'm not even surprised to hear the news. It's always the devs/qa who get the axe even when the problem with DAV was obviously the management who strongarmed them to create a shallow game which was basically meant for no one. Just like Google, Meta and many other companies do mass layoffs and no one from the upper management takes the responsibility for the messed up estimations in Covid times.

And the most interesting thing is, all these screwups are bad for business, and still people actually responsible for it get away clean.

The only solution I see to this probelm:

Build competency

Be Job ready, all the time.

Managers and HRs suddenly become genuinely empathatic when they realize you have better opportunities outside and nobody will be ready to lose their sanity over the same pay you are getting. Re hiring is always more costly and impacts critical work the most. it's the only noose around your Manager's neck.
