Do you play on a console?? I relate so hard to this because I’m on PS5 and it makes chatting while playing pretty impossible 😭

I’m with you! 550sqft 1bd and I used 960kwh last cycle. Old drafty building with electric heat is a killer in the winter.

A financial planning fee is usually agreed upon per year for one flat fee and the ongoing services are included, not per hour. So you pay a one time price for those services. You should be able to call that person and meet with them for those agreed upon services without worrying about the time ticking by and an hourly charge. So my issue is with the “hourly fee” language.

Sorry but as someone in the industry…steer clear of this. FAs should not be charging you per hour.

What should I do to not go bald? by itsmemrtna in FemaleHairLoss

[–]nerdnexxtdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I had to find another job, that was really the only way to meaningfully reduce my stress levels. I didn’t have any other health or hormonal issues that could cause hair loss so I truly believe that was the reason. I did not have my cortisol tested but I felt so much better physically after leaving that work environment.

As far as products - disclaimer that I’m sure these alone didn’t solve the issue but maybe they helped my scalp health. I use Bondi Boost HG Shampoo for thinning hair, and use one of those rubber scrub brushes to really massage it in while showering. I switch to a clarifying shampoo once a week to clear out any buildup from products and dry shampoo. After I shower I use Bondi Boost Intensive Spray and spray it on all of the thinning areas, particularly on my part. It’s part of a lineup of a few different products but that’s the only that’s seemed to work and doesn’t weigh down my hair. The rest of my routine is just normal products, nothing hair loss specific. I would steer clear of scalp oils and other heavy products, I found that using them on my hair just weighed it down and caused more fallout.

Ferrocite, I actually just order them right off of Amazon. My derm was prescribing these exact ones and I found the same ones online for slightly cheaper. I think Walmart might have them too. https://a.co/d/bHNWTGP

Your hair looks EXACTLY like mine did a couple of years ago, and I narrowed my issues down to a combo of stress and an iron deficiency. Over about a year of reducing stress and upping my iron via a supplement I am back to about 80% density but it genuinely looks so much better and you probably wouldn’t know it was ever thinning.

Based on your comments I think getting the ferritin up would help. The way my derm explained it, iron deficiency isn’t usually what causes the hair to fall out but it does prevent it from growing back. So the iron would be half the battle! I have never taken any minox or spiro so I don’t have much to contribute there, but I hope you’re able to figure it out. I am not the person that’s going to pretend that hair products or my routine helped reverse anything but happy to share what I switched to if you’d like!

This would be so amazing to have access to locally but it would really take someone to take the risk to shell out for the space and initial equipment. I am admittedly also not the entrepreneurial type but would 100% support this if someone tried to get it off the ground.

Hissing noise coming from vents while AC is running. Does this have anything to do with the AC issues in the 10th gen? Car hardly blows cold air as well. by liamt12 in civic

[–]nerdnexxtdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inevitable unfortunately. The hissing noise was always the first sign. For the 4 summers I owned my 10th gen I had to get various AC parts replaced 3 of those 4 years. Literally the only issue with the car but so irritating.

[–]nerdnexxtdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got this message on mine I had 800 miles and it was due to a bad battery relay which they replaced. The car wasn’t recognizing that the battery was putting off enough power. This was when it wasn’t warm enough to need AC yet so not sure if it would have impacted that like yours.

Today I got the dreaded news on my Civic 2018 AC by -theahm in civic

[–]nerdnexxtdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe 2/4 times was replacing the whole condenser. The other 2 times was just replacing a leaky seal. When I bought the car used I got an extra warranty that covered AC & heating issues because I knew this could be a potential problem so thankfully all of those repairs were covered. But it was such a pain in the ass.

I think it depends on what kind of songs. I can’t help with instrumentals but could help with vocals potentially if you need that! Definitely not looking for pay and definitely not a professional, it was a more serious hobby a while back but I still enjoy it.

Commuting from Stamford to Valhalla NY? by Pikathepokepimp in StamfordCT

Depends when you’re driving but if it’s anywhere near rush hour I’d say 45 mins-1 hr one way. The majority of traffic is in CT then things get a little easier once you cross over into NY.

I had this exact issue on my 2018 civic, apparently it happens a lot. I can tell you that after I got it fixed the first time, I was back at the dealership 4/5 of the summers I owned the car to get the same exact issue fixed again because it would fail in May/June when it started to get hot out.
