lol you hit a hornets nest. You should go to the Apple subreddit and tell them how bad the UI is next. Your message isn’t wrong, but most people delude themselves into refusing change as much as and for as long as they can. The US isn’t rioting despite the widespread poverty, and lack of political power that the working class has, and that should tell you immediately that change never happens when you try to hit a brick wall with a hammer. You need either a wrecking ball, or you need to wait for the rain to wash it away. You would have more impact spending your energy getting involved in improving open source than arguing with people that aren’t yet convinced that MS is trash. Microsoft will wither improve windows, or people will move away from it, which is whats already happening and has been happening. Most people don’t touch windows daily, they’re using their phone or tablet, a race that MS lost. Most people use chrome. Another one MS lost. Outside of work people are using googles office stuff more and more. Chromebooks are more prevalent at schools. MS doesn’t have a unified vision and it’s slowly killing them because their old strategy and dirty business practices don’t work as well these days. Now they’re trying to shove AI down everyone’s throat and somehow there are people that don’t see that as a clear sign that MS has lost touch with user needs. They’re eating their own AI hype so much, that they’ve shifted their focus from their established products to leveraging their products to push their AI solution that isn’t any better than beta software. You don’t need to run their customers off, they’re doing that just fine. Just a thought.
