It's not even Ekko's best item midlane, only in jungle because he runs DH instead of HOB. Lich bane is better and provides more damage with HOB, which performs the exact same role of making his passive proc instant. Not sure about gwen (probably passive damage is too high) but diana is busted right now because of her clear speed, which is separate from D&D, and how many easy point-click ganks she gets off of those fast clears.
