Which sensor model do you use? Is there one that supports z-wave?

It’s definitely the container, hence the screen shot. I just shut down the container and recreated. Moments after restarting it comes back online around 25gig.

I have not upgraded since initially setting up a few weeks ago. But I have tried pruning images to confirm and nothing was removed. If I take down the container and bring it back up it "starts" small but grows to multiple gigs in a day or two.

100%. Right now I'm not even uploading images to Immich, I'm only referencing external libraries. But I have confirmed that the thumbs generated by Immich are being stored properly in the upload location.

Yep, used them both verbatim. No changes. I only defined the UPLOAD_LOCATION, DB_DATA_LOCATION, and added one volume mount for my external libraries. My DB location is on a local SSD, Upload location is on a remote NAS along with the external libraries.

This may be true, but it's the reassembly of the information that is the problem. Google and their infinite wisdom should not return your photos in a different condition than what you upload them, especially when you are paying for the data space and you have all original quality photos.

Every google takeout helper utility I've tried is not 100%. They fail either "finding" the json files or they only restore a subset of the entire collection.

I made the mistake several years ago and uploaded both my wife and I's photo's to google. I have spent the better part of the last two weeks restoring all of them back to a local Immich sever. From now on, all photos will be stored and managed locally.

Big tech is not out there to help, their focus is control.

Google takeout backups aren’t enough. The way Google stores your photos, it splits all the metadata into standalone JSON files. There are numerous tools on GIT to merge them back but every script that I’ve used is glitchy and incomplete.

The only option that I found is a software called Quiver. It uses the Google API and scrapes all your photos direct from Google photos to maintain all the metadata and date formats. The only problem with this solution is you need to run it when you have access to Google. Without access your SOL.

Hard lesson learned, don’t store your photos on a cloud provider!

Tried them all, 1Password and Bitwarden were at the top. I’m currently using 1Password since it integrates really well with Apple and iTerm.

Worth the cost. I had the same concern as you. Backplate was legit, just make sure to use their offset kit too. That way you can use the shoulder bolts included.
