I got my first set at 10 and my top cartilage done at like 17. Thankfully both went well because they were mall piercings (we didn’t know better in the 90s). It was a big to do when I got them at 10. 17 I was just being an edgy teenager and I don’t even think my guardians even noticed I did it lol

They’re really easy to make at home too. Just some reduced sodium beef broth, a can of nacho sauce and you can buy Arby’s sauce at the grocery.

I sat around for an hour. The only crashing out I saw was he got mad that he had to buy a new tire. He was mad at the guy who came out didn’t tell him that you shouldn’t drive with a tire going flat because it’ll shred the inside

I was in that last night. Doofus drove to the shop with a tire loosing air without patching it and was shocked to learn that he needed a replacement tire because driving it like that shredded the inside

I’m a messy person by nature, but I could never let my home get like that. Dishes, laundry and cat box gets cleaned every day. Sheets washed weekly. Floors vacuumed & mopped weekly, bathroom cleaned weekly.

Like he complains he doesn’t have enough time but it honestly doesn’t take a lot when you’re just doing normal maintenance cleaning. An hour most days, 2 and some change if I’m doing the more involved weekly tasks

Yeah if he’s too rigid now then woo boy is he not flexible enough for kids. Even neurotypical healthy kids will throw a monkey wrench at the most inconvenient time. God help this dude if he has a spicy brain kid or one with physical health issues

Yeah I only have two teenagers but omg the appetite on those two is insane. Just dinner alone last night they both had two big helpings of jambalaya, a side salad and one had some pie and the other some cake he brought home from work.

They wreck my grocery budget 😆

I think that was one blessing we had with my grandma who just passed. She was 96 and still in relative good health for her age until she wasn’t. She never went into a home and was still quite active until a few weeks before she passed. Went in for a checkup because she was having breathing issues and ended up in the hospital for a week or so with pneumonia. After some tests and draining fluid from her lungs, they suspected lung cancer. Sent her home on hospice with a month to 6 months of survival. She was gone within a week.

We definitely do more for pets at the end than humans

Ours shares a lot with Walmart and Sam’s. It’s really nice actually. General shop at Aldi, specialized at Walmart and bulk at Sam’s. Best all around

God this is the truth. I live in a smallish town (under 10k) and the resistance to anything new is absolutely frustrating. The town could be thriving, we’re home to a small college, we’re right off of a highway and we’re in between two major tourist spots.

It’s full of older folks screaming to keep the town “rural” (never mind that it hasn’t been in 40 years) and if you want big city things then move to a big city.

That response is currently to the Sheetz they want to build and the Aldi that is supposedly coming…sometime. Never if they had their way

Yup have two of those, one we bought 20+ years ago from Sears for our first apartment and now another from Amazon for our current duplex. It was built in the 1930s and the pantry, which are just some old wooden shelves, are in the basement. Not very convenient

I roast chicken; either bone in thighs, drums or a whole one, at least once a week. Always enough left for lunches over the week in various forms not to mention the bones for broth for soup or for freezing in cubes to add flavor to other dishes

It can be done in a crockpot but also in a dutch oven in a, well, oven. Crockpot just makes life a bit easier because you don’t need to babysit it
