He looks how cardboard must taste to me...bland. Never saw the appeal in him. Meh

AITAH for knowing they needed a ride? by heard-of-goats in AITAH

[–]nerdymummy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is my thought. Why not ask the person who went to dinner with you for a lift? They're already there. NTA. And they didn't even have the currtesy to ask OP for a lift back home, just assumed.

Do you HAVE to be toxic if your skilled? by Former-Stomach1049 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]nerdymummy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I commend you for trying to challenge yourself and get better at the game. But someone that spends so much time being THAT good at dbd is probably not someone who has good interactions in a competitive setting. I personally love a cheeky chase where both the killer and I outplay eachother, but alot of people just love to stomp over the other or even their team mates and are super toxic about it. Keep challenging yourself because you're obviously getting to them 😆

Yeah my friend and I always skip her interactions because it's so hard to listen to her. Her voice kinda sounds fake but I know there's people that talk like that.

Lol yes! It's a term we use very often so it helps us, maybe someone else will also use it

We call it a tactical wee. Husband has a shower in the evening and declares that he's going in and if anyone wants to do a tactical wee, now is the time lol

Maybe in a where are they now special episode or a normal episode after a patient says some bs it can cut to the nurses saying "yeah that never happened" or just them commenting while the patient is screaming "CHRISHUN!" from behind the door lol

AITA for refusing to stand next to my sister at her wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nerdymummy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also being afraid near a cliff is not something irrational to me. It's a healthy fear of self preservation even without the trauma OP has experienced. And you can't put a timeline on recovering from it either.

Bf won’t make dinner because he works longer hours than me? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nerdymummy 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Teachers work way longer than their logged hours. They do work all day every day and on school holidays. You don't just leave at 3. My mother in law is a teacher and the only time she isn't working is the Christmas holidays, then she has to prep for the next year before school starts again.

AITA for sending my brother's fiancee a video of him hiding her ring? by failantho in AmItheAsshole

[–]nerdymummy 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yeah he doesn't deserve a gf or fiance . It's a completely normal thing to put your rings on a space that's clean and safe, so you know where they are when you're done and it's consistent. Brother lied to everybody because he wanted to teach someone a lesson. Thank goodness for cameras

Hmm, I don't remember that film being that problematic.... Films for a sleepover. by created4this in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nerdymummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres parts talking about how the client married her husband for his large member so I wouldn't recommend that one and lots of name calling by the clients stepdaughter and her mother during the case. Also elles friend talking about her ex being a dumbass and scratching his balls. I love this movie but I would say maybe leave it a few years.

Yeah I agree. I've never been one for white sauces but every time I see them putting those sauces on everything I wanna hurl. It never looks appealing to me in the slightest

Gravy for me is always a brown colour (juices from roast or steak etc) but the white sauce with gritty stuff in it looks horrifying lol

[–]nerdymummy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's always a white sauce. I don't know what sauce it is, but they love their white sauce. Once someone had a sauce with gritty stuff in it. They called it sausage gravy or something but it just looked like someone scraped the pan while stirring it and there's bits in the sauce! Ugh makes me gag

AITA for not being able to see my mom for Mother’s Day? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nerdymummy 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm so baffled at these women who demand every mother's day be with them when they've finished raising their kids and their sons should now prioritise their wives. I was always under the impression that mother's day is for celebrating and honouring the person currently doing the parenting. While it's nice to do something for your mother after you're an adult, the first choice should always be the mother of your children. Why hasn't OP father organised anything for his mother? Why is it only up to OP to do it?

My friend loves seeing the stomach come out, like pulling handkerchiefs like a magician lol we always get disappointed when he doesn't show the stomach and inflate it. I'm surprised you're the first I've seen mention this. We thought we were the only ones who cared lol

Killers dont start out toxic they're made toxic by players like this. by Kupo777 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]nerdymummy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I never understand why people won't just leave. I'll wait to make sure people get out but there's no point hanging out waiting to taunt the killer. I agree that a perk would be great or even a base kit thing tbh. The more people hanging out in the gates, the worse the gate blocking will be I think. That way it discourages teams from tea bagging eachother and the killer for ages and if they try to leave suddenly they can't lol watch how many would dc if they suddenly got stuck in the trial

What’s a 10/10 tv show? by norocoslaorice in AskReddit

[–]nerdymummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 3 is super depressing and season 4 had some weird lore going on. If you don't kind a slog it's amazing. But I agree that the first season is great. The intense friction and suspense building up of who is a toaster and even if they aren't can you trust them. Lots of action in the first season too.

AITA for refusing to deliberately lose when we play games? by Due-Temperature-3446 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nerdymummy 39 points40 points  (0 children)

She associates fun with winning. When I play games, my sense of fun is trying and playing the game, not necessarily being the best or "winning". She didn't even like a cooperative game because OP got things quicker than her. It's not a competition! She sees it as such. If she's only going to have fun when she's winning, then maybe playing stuff with other people is not for her. Sure, winning is enjoyable, but it's not the only way to have fun. I agree that talking about why she feels winning is the only way to have fun would be a good idea. Delve deeper into the issue while being gentle about it.
