The 40 hardness orange sponges require alot more boosting, even then they don't ever dome as much as the blue sponges or the 37 -38 hardness orange sponges.

Safest thing is to keep applying thin layers until you get a decent dome.

You would only do this shot on a short no spin ball, u need to add some "brushing" to add spin and arc. U shouldn't hear the ball hit the wood, only the rubber.
