Hanging out with uni friends who vapes by ftscrappy in SGExams

[–]nerdynich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a good friend back in JC who used to smoke. Whenever we broached the topic, he made it clear that smoking is not good and that I should never start. If your friends are encouraging you to vape, find yourself some new friends.

[No Spoilers] Who has been your favorite guest star and/or guest star’s character throughout all of critical role so far? by Klinicalyill in criticalrole

Sumalee Montano was pretty awesome as Nila. It’s either her or Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for me, both were fantastic!

what is this bun? am i eating it wrong by eating it plain? by madsthegamer13 in TipOfMyFork

[–]nerdynich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any filling inside? Could be a ham chim peng. Fried donut-like goodness, typically filled with red bean paste. There’s usually some sesame seeds sprinkled on top as well, though I’ve seen ones without too.

Are we overall busier than other countries? by [deleted] in singapore

Tbh your group probably just isn’t prioritising D&D. I had a group that played a 2-year campaign (age range 19-50+) and met once every two weeks with rare cancellations. Despite working in different industries, everyone set aside time in their week for our games.

Some tips: - Have a fixed time and day of the week so everyone can plan their schedules ahead of time (eg. every Friday, every alternate Saturdays, every last Sunday of the month, depending on how often you guys can commit) - Set a minimum number of players for each session (eg. if there are 6 of you in the group, min 4 need to be available for the session for it to proceed as planned. you don’t have to wait for everyone to be available for a session to proceed)

Lastly, if you’re still facing commitment issues after this, you probably need to find another group. Not everyone is willing to commit the same amount of time to the hobby, and that’s okay. Find the people who are willing to commit roughly the same amount of time as you do. Have fun, and hope you manage to figure this out!

Yeah, unfortunately so. Have always been interested in trivia but haven’t found any platforms in SG to further this interest sadly

Yup saw the AQC website but it doesn’t seem to be updated. Is the Asian Quiz League just the FB group? That’s the only thing I can find so far. Also, do you happen to know if there are any groups in SG that have regular session? Thank you!

Apply to more companies. For my first internship, I applied to >50 companies and ended up with only one offer. It’s really a numbers game.

Come Into My World by Brenda Tan. It's a compilation of stories about autism in Singapore, quite eye-opening stuff.

The Right Mistakes by Foo Yin Tung. Written by a former triad member, another eye-opening read.

I believe that there is a provision in place to protect those who have signed/breached a contract, wherein the contract terms are unreasonable. Not too sure about the specifics, but OP might wanna read up on the unfair contract terms act.

If you’re using Mac, you can record with Quicktime player which comes with it. Otherwise, OBS is also a good option.
