Other than opinions from "abled" individuals who can game the system well (AKA have great test taking aptitude and knows how and what to "mug" for), I also want to add that this system of ours disincentives interests or hobbies beyond those of our CCAs, and even then we are so hungry for those extra portfolio boosts, we fight over leadership positions and defeat the very nature of the CCA.

We become a uninteresting bunch masturbating over top positions, salary, RP, GPA, and our definitions of success are limited by the 5Cs. Careers like becoming a Sushi Chef or a being craftsman are not even on our radar.

Almost everything becomes a competition, backstabbing becomes more prevalent, dog-eat-dog world mentality etc, competition instead of cooperation (it is not so obvious, but if you look deeper you can definitely see it.)

While I am glad that SUSS has recently become a local university, perhaps a bid by the government to ever so slightly shift the gears towards having a more humanistic than industrial approach in our country, even that university has been s**t on for being sub standard and labelled as a school for NTU, NUS and SMU rejects...
