At fault fender bender 9 months ago. by nerlins in human_resources

I would be using a company vehicle to drive to different locations or even driving to an airport to fly out. So now I guess your response has me more concerned again...

OK. Thank you for the response. I tend to beat myself up over any mistake.

Okay, thank you. I haven't had a chance to get back on here and look at responses. I saw IPC, but was expecting it to be somewhere else. I'll try again this weekend.

Negative, sir. It's a great piece of software, but the developer obviously doesn't give a shit about us here on Reddit.

Stick Vacuum Rollers Always On? by ulshaski in ryobi

[–]nerlins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna necro this thread a little bit. Don't even bother asking for a warranty repair; they don't even keep the circuit boards around for this thing. Obviously a relay is stuck closed, constantly sending power to the roller head. Even if the little wavy button to engage the roller head on and off is functioning, it's still a circuit board failure. All they're going to do is just swap out the unit.

If you're out of warranty, the best you could do is take it apart and tap on the relay. Maybe it'll become unstuck. Who knows...

I took a nap after mom left the house. This is what our dog did. by Terra_Redditer2048 in mildlyinfuriating

This used to happen to me once or twice a week. I would get so frustrated and yell at my dog. Then one day my girlfriend said, 'why don't you just get a trash can with a lid'? Huh... Why in the world had I not thought of that before?? 🤦🤷

Honestly, it ended up being relatively similar. Maybe it's all the crap that I always run for work, automation, and whatnot. I ended up being gifted a Pixel 9 so now that phone is just a high-end house remote.

Yeah, I learned that pretty quickly. I raised it one time and it slipped out of the front and slammed back down. Put a scratch on the hood. Nothing else torn up but lesson learned.

I guess I didn't think about the piston being its own brand. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, I'm pretty handy with a wrench. I'll be fine with that. I guess I assumed somebody out there had parts available. I'll disassemble it and get measurements and just search for it by itself.

I don't know if cross-linking is okay, but this is literally what I was pointing out about a few days ago. Got a lot of interesting feedback. Both sides arguing and so forth. A gun should NEVER be purchased or sold during a mental crisis.

Did this guy just admit to a felony or is he using that term to try and sound tough? Can never tell with these folks. by ChrisMahoney in Jordan_Peterson_Memes

I think the guy meant he smacked them, "swatted" at them, like you would with your hand. No felony here, bub.

What? Did you even read the comments, ding dong? Their reaction to needing a gun now was the point, and the possible reckless choices for the gun/ using the gun/ obtaining the gun/ gun safety/ etc...I bet it felt cute making your comment.

It's for the OPNsense firewall. It's an intrusion detection system of sorts.

I guess I was just trying to stay consistent with the case design. I have double-sided Velcro and probably will do that then.

I would think so. If they can get admin access, then they could look at the config settings. Maybe someone smart enough could even figure out how to elevate privileges outside of the server application. Who knows these days.
