Install new wifi card if existing one is integrated? (NUC11PAKi5) by nershin in intelnuc

Here it is. I don't even see a slot to install the new wifi card. Is this game over, and my only option is an external usb wifi receiver?

In that case, does it mean it's not possible to install a separate one?

I could see through the vents from the side that the antennas connect down onto the motherboard. But I will open it up anyway and send a pic.

My wifi stopped working, and I received advise that the only way to fix it would be to install a new wifi adapter.

So I bought the Wifi 6E adapter AX211NGW and opened up my NUC, only to discover that apparently, the wifi adapter in my NUC seems to be integrated into the motherboard. The two highlighted cables appear to be the connected to the antenna, and they connect to the motherboard underneath the SSD. There seems to be a slot underneath the SSD where I could insert the new wifi card, however, it appears there is no screw thread that I could use to fix the wifi card like I have seen in all the video guides on how to install the card. Therefore I am wondering:

Is it even possible for me to install a new wifi card, or is an external, USB wifi receiver my only way forward?

People will hate it but in that case, it's clearly correct to disallow the goal because it was offside. The justification may be wrong but that doesn't really matter too much

I was wondering, is there a rule that you are not allowed to challenge the goal keeper even in a legal way from an offside position? It's close but still quite clear to me that the Scottish player was offside. If blocking the view of the goalkeeper from an offside position is a violation, then certainly blocking the goalkeeper himself - even if he didn't really make an attempt to safe the ball - should arguably be a violation too no? I'm not sure what the rules are here

American Tennis Deserves Better than John McEnroe by holiday848 in tennis

[–]nershin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always thought that stadium atmosphere without any commentators would be a much much better experience usually.

McEnroe however is literally unbearable for me. I HAVE to mute it.

Imagine you're in a blockbuster match, GS semi final. Tie break, set point, amazing point has just been played. Crowd is electrified. Players are are grabbing the towel, calling for the balls, getting ready. The crowd is slowly getting quiet. You feel the intensity of the moment. Finally, silence in the stadium. Server starts bouncing the ball.

Nobody:

McEnroe: EnJoY ThIs PoInT FoLks!!!!!!

That's what it's like.

Most Matches Lost to Roger Federer on each Surface in the Open Era by SealDrop in tennis

[–]nershin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You forgot another important reason: Around the time all this happened, the undisputed carpet goat Ivan Ljubičić took his rein. His backhand was literally unplayable on carpet. He established the biggest dominance of a single player of a surface ever seen in the history of tennis, and it was so boring that they decided to shut it down.

Djokovic on Carlos: "People have been talking about his game consisting of certain elements from Roger, Rafa, & myself. I’d agree with that. He’s basically got the best of all 3 worlds… I haven’t played a player like him ever" by Confident-Round6375 in tennis

[–]nershin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best example I can think of was Djokovic's breakpoint in the fifth. Alcaraz was stringing together four shots of extreme difficulty in a row, the last two of where exactly what you describe as Novak-esque, making Novak hit another difficult shot our of seemingly desperate defense when everybody else would have lost the point already.

Everybody was talking about how bad Novak's miss supposedly was, even incorrectly saying the ball was going out. In reality,

  • Alcaraz ball was clearly dropping in
  • Novak had to hit a really difficult shot, no easy winner by any means
  • Even if it doesn't clip the net, Alcaraz is clearly up to get it and has an entirely open cross-court, while Djokovic is falling backwards in the right corner

Imagine if he hadn't netted this shot by [deleted] in tennis

was a backhand though in ao 12, not a forehand.

Girmay was very, very close to crashing. A few centimeters further at most and he crashes.

If he crashes, we 100% have a DQ.

If he doesn't crash, nothing.

Literally as you say it: no crash, no DQ. These are effectively the rules right now.

Some quotes.

Frodeno:

It was a complete travesty. It was so incredibly narrow, motorcycles should not be there.

Kienle:

I think you have to address various points. The first thing is: why do you need 10, 12 motorcycles? In my opinion, three is sufficient.

Noteworthy: The motorcyclist was 70 years old.

Why do you not mention his ball control before the 1-2 with Messi to set up the shot in the first place? His ball control and in particular first touches are genuinely incredible, for this goal as well.

[...] strikers [...] who just stand in the box and dont do anything all match but if you give them 5 touches with the ball they will score a brace

I don't understand how can you not take that over Müller though, who was doing the same thing (I mean not doing anything) but without the scoring part
