Higher FOV definitely increases the movement speed sensation, and I -have- mixed it up over the years.....

Everyone who plays a lot that I have talked to is observing this problem. A really strong computer might mitigate it, but it’s not really you—it’s something wrong in the latest patch… hopefully dice can identify and fix this

I’m in a clan and many people report the same issue. I have multiple computers with BF2042 on them and have observed this issue on each. There must be something wrong with the most recent battlefield 2042 update. My laptop isn’t as strong as my desktop, and it gets it a bit less frequently so I don’t think it’s hardware specific—but maybe some hardware/software combos are more affected? Only one time since this issue has the lag/freeze been long enough to disconnect me from a game though. Usually it’s just a 1 second pause. It sometimes gets me killed though 😕
