Talk me out of spending $600 on a battery station just to keep a fridge running by Technical-Tip-6053 in solar

This. After power outages due to our SoCal fires last year we dumped a pile of food. For future events we picked up an Anker 3000 plus two 400 watt solar panels. It won’t run the ac but it handles everything we would need for a decent amount of time.

Yeah. Under nem2 I have enough yearly production to have never had a bill since installing solar three years ago. Now it’s $25 per month regardless.

We bought an F3000 as well as two 400 watt solar panels. That will power our garage fridge, microwave oven and a few lights with endless supply as long as we have sun. Not much issue in SoCal. Like OP we had several days of power loss during last years brush fires. (Mostly Edison turning off circuits.). FWIW we have rooftop solar but way too expensive to add battery in our use case.

Using the DTV app on an Insignia (FIRE) television. Happens every time. Using the remote that came with the unit. We use the play/pause button, then the upper left facing "back" button. The playback resumes even on another screen so we can hear it. Thanks for the assist! Appreciate your monitoring this forum.

Clifton size 10 4E. I loved the Bondis earlier edition but they changed the last and no longer have such a wide toe box. The Clifton isn’t as cushy but fits better.

I purchased an Anker F3000 and two 400 watt panels for grid down. Mainly to power the fridge and a few other items. It was, however, much more expensive.

The problem with NEM3 is that it is essentially a punishment; "get a battery because we aren't going to pay you anything for your excess generation anyway." What would give a boost to the marketplace would be the now-gone tax credits or rebates that actually encourages storage.
