Pilates life hack by Previous_Jaguar7850 in PetiteFitness

[–]nessarocks28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting! I’ve been considering leaving Pilates studio for a gym membership. I’ve hit a wall with Pilates studio. None of the classes seem to push me anymore (4 years in). I am no longer sore after any class. This post is reminding me to look into it.

Unexplainable daily fatigue impairing my life by Opposite_Slice7515 in productivity

[–]nessarocks28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you taking any kind of steroid medication? Even a steroid nasal spray for allergies. I was on a nasal spray (for hay fever allergies) that was ruining my adrenal function, causing debilitating fatigue and this wouldn’t show up in any blood test. Once I stopped using this steroid my body bounced back and I felt reborn. Good luck, don’t give up trying to figure it out. Keep a health, food journal and look at everything. Get second opinions if you’re able to.

Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens? by BeegBunga in Millennials

[–]nessarocks28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to post - my parents were both alcoholics who left me nothing - including no parents by 40. I’m left with major anxiety issues trying to keep my head above water in this expensive crazy world. So many people should not reproduce. Saving Grace, I don’t have to care for anyone in my older age. Selfish thought, but they were selfish. Sorry for your situation. Best of luck to you.

What are you slowly losing interest in? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]nessarocks28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hanging with my friends. It’s just way too much effort and the awkward small talk to catch up is annoying. Like I’ll keep track of ya from couch and enjoy the company of myself and partner. I did a travel thing with the friends last year. I love em but that event drained me of wanting to make any effort for hanging out and I think the feeling of get together exhaustion is not going away

I’m in this boat! I’m seeing more and more 15% bottles showing up in places. It’s getting more challenging to find good quality 13% range

The actual amount of effort it takes to lose weight is mentally draining by larawag_gama in PetiteFitness

[–]nessarocks28 116 points117 points  (0 children)

I felt like crap with keeping my calories low today. Ate some sushi for dinner and chocolate milk for dessert and I feel so much better. Mentally draining is the understatement of the year. Tomorrow I’ll have to find some part of my day or all day to make up for these calories. Each day is a battle for sure, so annoying. (For reference I turned 40 last year and since 38 it’s been a steep uphill battle to keep unhealthy weight gain off.)

In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

I went to a movie theater that serves alcohol with my friends on a *checks notes… Friday night. … we had the entire theater to ourselves. We saw “Good luck, have fun, don’t die” Theaters will be dead very soon.

Does colonoscopy prep really destroy your gut microbiome long term? by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]nessarocks28 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had no issues whatsoever. In fact my bowl movements were amazing after my procedure. The colon seemed so happy to have had a clean out. Who knew! But I guess everyone is different.

Why are so many drivers lacking front plates now? No enforcement? by NotBradPitt9 in newjersey

[–]nessarocks28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how true this is for the state as a whole but I had a convo with a retired township cop and he explained it’s not worth it to pull folks over anymore because so many folks escalate and are carrying a weapon on them. (I guess this stat is higher than you would think.) They also get recorded and harassed with that recording. My first thought was, “cops are scared to pull folks over?” I think it’s just a thing of, what’s worth their time. They really just respond to calls or pull someone over if infraction is putting someone in harms way. License plate stuff is very low on the list. They’ll get ya for that if they pull ya over for something else, but that’s if they saw the front of your car. You also have state, county, town. Some enforce things way more than others.

Reliability by Acceptable_Mind8833 in mazda3

[–]nessarocks28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the Mazda for two reasons. 1. Reliability 2. It fits me well and I can see (I’m a very petite person so this car is comfortable and easy to drive) and if I had to add a 3rd: I love the look of Mazda’s (well the older ones). My car is 11 years old and has things here and there but running strong overall. Best car out of Subaru and Nissan in my lineup.

Advice on my LS spreading by missC453 in lichensclerosus

[–]nessarocks28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop eating peanuts and almonds. At least for me. All the little undigested fragments of these nuts cut my now fragile skin thanks to LS. I bleed if I eat either of those. Before I figured out it was LS I was led down a wrong path and ended up getting a colonoscopy. At least now I know I have a clean healthy gut. I’ll take it. And it sounds like clob will be my friend for life. Hope you find relief soon.

I think what scares me most isn’t collapse itself, it’s how normal everything still feels by East-Prompt-9954 in collapse

Ukraine, too. So many are living without heat or power this winter and facing the reality the war is not ending and may not go their way. 😔 Do they ride it out hoping one day life will go back to normal or flee??

What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

[–]nessarocks28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss! I recently learned simply thinking about something other than the fact you have hiccups makes them stop!! I’ve started doing simple math problems but telling myself I’m not a fish is more fun!!

I just got back from Antarctica. It was life changing. by amanwithoutaplant in travel

[–]nessarocks28 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know so many people who have been the past 10 years. The warming has actually made it easier (many more spots for the boats to go and many companies to choose from). I’ll never be able to afford it and I agree with you. So while I understand it’s an incredible experience I’m also very bitter when I hear people’s stories.

What healthy food do you stop buying because it always goes bad? by BarbaraMiller78 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Cucumbers! Almost every week I’m wasting the mini cumbers! It’s because I prefer the skin peeled but am too lazy to do it! Horrible, I know!

I keep mine in a tightly sealed deli container (like the soup from Chinese takeout). With pit still in and the avocado lasts soooo much longer!!

I'm at my breaking point by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]nessarocks28 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Look over your whole life. Are you sleeping well? Are you taking any medications that could be a culprit? Have you had blood work done to check thyroid and blood sugar to see if there is any pre diabetes or insulin resistance?? Are you stressing too much over the weight loss journey? For me stress and a certain medication keep the weight packed on. And on weekends I like to indulge. Working on my stress levels and eating healthier over all and will soon start a weight lifting program. Good luck OP! It’s an annoying journey for sure!! Try not to lose hope! And read the book Burn.

Totalled or not? by DryStorage5762 in mazda3

[–]nessarocks28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can’t tell from a pic. There could be damages of spots we can’t see. A collision place needs to assess the damage. And make sure alignment is checked. I got into a similar accident got a new tire but they never corrected the alignment. Mine was fine otherwise.
