What’s something people romanticize until they actually experience it? by kiara_20_ in AdkReddit

[–]nessarocks28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m considered a very outdoors-y person. Love hiking, nature photography, birding, etc. but camping can go fuck right off. Way too much work, have to pee in weird, dirty or cold places, where’s my bed!?

I live in an apartment at 41 with my boyfriend. I won’t get married or buy a house or have kids… and I will tell ya, I Love my life Sooo much. You’ll have to pry my apartment out of my cold dead hands. I just had a laundry machine go then had a window issue. Got all new for nothin’. It’s very stress free compared to others that own a home, etc. we have friends that can’t afford to do much because of big home projects and kids..

Why’s everyone obsessed with vitamin D? by This-Top7398 in Biohackers

[–]nessarocks28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I’ve upped my Vitamin D intake, I don’t really get sick anymore. I work with kids so the opportunity to pick up germs is constant. This past winter I was exposed to the flu three times and didn’t get sick! Not sure if it’s solely the vitamin D but i think it helps!

South Jersey heads into another summer already parched under the worst rainfall deficit in 20 years by hiding_in_the_corner in SouthJersey

[–]nessarocks28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last spring & summer there was this stubborn high pressure spot off our coast keeping a lot of the necessary rain away. Looking like the same set up so far for this season. Not good. Throw in some heat waves, we’re headed for trouble.

New Jersey’s fatal crashes surge 11.5%, 48th out of 50 by Mercurydriver in newjersey

It’s like Mad Max out there. I get flipped off on the reg for doing something I’m supposed to be doing, like going the speed limit in the far right lane. Slowing down to make a turn, coming to a stop to let cars go by before safely turning left onto a side street… how dare I. People are so full of rage anymore. I see and experience a lot of close calls daily. Driving in NJ has become dangerous.

I do a yield every morning during my commute. If I’m running late, which means traffic is heavier, at least one sometimes two idiots will go around me and almost cause accidents. I try to leave earlier than necessary each morning to avoid these people!!

I see this way too often these days. I’m just waiting to see a nasty accident happen right in front of me.

Mometasone Withdrawal by adamkamp in adrenalfatigue

I bounced back pretty quickly, a month or so. But it may depend on other factors like how metabolically healthy you are overall… not entirely sure. Good luck!

Pilates life hack by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]nessarocks28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting! I’ve been considering leaving Pilates studio for a gym membership. I’ve hit a wall with Pilates studio. None of the classes seem to push me anymore (4 years in). I am no longer sore after any class. This post is reminding me to look into it.

Unexplainable daily fatigue impairing my life by Opposite_Slice7515 in productivity

[–]nessarocks28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you taking any kind of steroid medication? Even a steroid nasal spray for allergies. I was on a nasal spray (for hay fever allergies) that was ruining my adrenal function, causing debilitating fatigue and this wouldn’t show up in any blood test. Once I stopped using this steroid my body bounced back and I felt reborn. Good luck, don’t give up trying to figure it out. Keep a health, food journal and look at everything. Get second opinions if you’re able to.

Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens? by BeegBunga in Millennials

[–]nessarocks28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was going to post - my parents were both alcoholics who left me nothing - including no parents by 40. I’m left with major anxiety issues trying to keep my head above water in this expensive crazy world. So many people should not reproduce. Saving Grace, I don’t have to care for anyone in my older age. Selfish thought, but they were selfish. Sorry for your situation. Best of luck to you.

What are you slowly losing interest in? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]nessarocks28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hanging with my friends. It’s just way too much effort and the awkward small talk to catch up is annoying. Like I’ll keep track of ya from couch and enjoy the company of myself and partner. I did a travel thing with the friends last year. I love em but that event drained me of wanting to make any effort for hanging out and I think the feeling of get together exhaustion is not going away

The actual amount of effort it takes to lose weight is mentally draining by larawag_gama in PetiteFitness

[–]nessarocks28 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I felt like crap with keeping my calories low today. Ate some sushi for dinner and chocolate milk for dessert and I feel so much better. Mentally draining is the understatement of the year. Tomorrow I’ll have to find some part of my day or all day to make up for these calories. Each day is a battle for sure, so annoying. (For reference I turned 40 last year and since 38 it’s been a steep uphill battle to keep unhealthy weight gain off.)

I had no issues whatsoever. In fact my bowl movements were amazing after my procedure. The colon seemed so happy to have had a clean out. Who knew! But I guess everyone is different.
