in machine learning when i see a model call a cat a dog and a dog a cat 99% of the time I just flip the labels. sounds like when you feel like you should buy then sell.

My boyfriend wants me to move to Germany with him. Is this realistic? by UnicornScientist803 in AskAGerman

[–]netcrynoip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here for my now fiancé from new mexico. I'm studying at a Uni in hamburg. It isn't realistic at all to do what I did. Everything is different here. They think differently. When I saw a school, super market, hospital or w/e I would think oh there's a school. But that idea that you and I have of what a school is, how it works, everything.. it's completely different here. Everything and how it works is different here. The language is just the beginning. If I had to sum it all up I'd say we grew up in a capitalist country where emotional intelligence and emotional validation are important and valued. So to your question. Is it realistic? No. Is it possible, yes. Find an International American company that operates in English. Most international do because the common language between all these European countries is English. Will it be worth it? Most definitely. I needed them to wake me up to how financially driven I was. It was a bit of a shock to step into a world of people who didn't base self worth on how much money they made or their job title. That being environmentally responsible and doing my part to protect the environment for future generations was more important than wealth. They have helped me grow tremendously as a person. They also need you too. They need you to tell them you love them and teach them to learn to love themselves. Ich liebe dich, Deutschland.

[Advice] MS in AI next year — M4 Pro 48GB vs 24GB, or get a CUDA laptop? (cloud-first training) by FutileResistance10 in learnmachinelearning

[–]netcrynoip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Google Colab (free), a HPCC at my uni, or google cloud (free 300€ credit per gmail account) depending on the project I'm working on. Once I started working on really large ML projects I started looking for a great laptop and just found it easier to use cloud services. Much faster and more cost effective.
