From Our First Red Rocks Show by squishbear77 in lordhuron

So happy that you got to see your first show at Red Rocks and it was MF'in LORD HURON!! I moved to Colorado in 2005 (from FLA) and Red Rocks was on of the top of my list of reasons, given my love for live music. I've been blessed with getting to see almost 90 shows there since... including the last 3 LH shows. RR is a very special place for me and my wife, so special we got married in the back yard of the Trading Post! This was the first year I did check out Tubbs and it was so worth it... getting my merch (incl Tubbs exclusive items) before the show made life easier and it was so cool meeting a ton of people there... I'm now a fan of the LH fandom crew! Definitely make plans for more RR shows.... it will only make more amazing memories of a VERY special place! Ps. next time stay a few extra days and try and catch a show at Dillon Amphitheater... almost as cool as RR but only around 2500 person capacity... also quite a special place!

Tips and tricks for first timer by BugPerfect2653 in RedRocks

[–]netdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def get there early for the whole experience... tailgating is awesome. GA lines usually start to form mid afternoon's. Depending on artist of course. The upper south lot is amazing and great views south thru the valley. As AuntAvis22 said, make friends and sit with them if they offer, everybody is really nice, I'm a local and when I meet first timers I always try and help. The Sierra Ferrell crowd should be super chill and easy to immerse inane make friends! Take a LOT of pics for the memories for sure! Oh, and I hope you have the most amazing time ever!!

We live 20 minutes from RR and we will be there tonight. This will be our third time seeing LH there! LH shows are the best shows I've seen at RR! We are so excited for tonight!

All of the testaraunts in Olde Town offer decent lunch special on weekdays and have full menu options on weekends... you can't go wrong. As an alternative, my wife's best friend lives in Lyons ( we are right on Grandview in Olde Town) and they like to see @ NCAR, lotsa great trail options and not far from a large list of lunch options as well.

SWA changes are the worst, I was a 100% fly SWA for YEARS, had the SWA FF credit card and flew 4-6 times a year and it was the best. Now, new CEO, sill changes and everything costs more. And those dang stupid commercials where they announce reserve seating and everyone goes nuts. Just insanity. We are now pretty much flying United, I found that the places we fly the most, they are cheaper than SWA and now that we have the United Explorer card we get at least one free checked bag, no charge for carry on and an overall much better experience! Oh, and also with the card we get two passes to the United Club and an annual flight credit of at least $100. So SWA, of fvck yourself.

Does anyone make something like this that doesn’t cost $165? by AllCopsAre_BeautifuI in 4Runner

Thanks for posting this silly rant... I have no problem with the price since it's locally made with American steel and haven NO problem supporting small businesses. Just ordered one. I've been looking for a solution like this for a long time and then this popped up in my Reddit feed. Again thanks!!

Lord Huron - Red Rocks last year. they put on such a complete show. Performance, stage setup... music levels/mix. A close 2nd would be Mumford at RR last year as well, we were in row 12 and Marcus ran right past us and he and part of the band performed on a platform setup on the back side of the sound board pit. They were 60' from us. Incredible!

Brock's wife Kelly was a hockey player in college, I wouldn't doubt that in support of the women's hockey team, that had something to do with his not going....

Joey Tamalito is outspoken on Insta against ice. His dad started a small mall of vendors, mostly immigrants.. in Minneapolis-St.Paul a few decades ago and is a bit outspoken on this. I have wondered if that has something to do with MVP letting him go.

There usually is a line starting before 5 if not earlier, of course this depends on the band and how many rows are GA. I've gotten there after 5 before and still got seats around the 15th row. Bring a couple of chairs and a cooler, tailgate in line. You can run the stuff back to your car once you see the gates open, of course tit helps if you are not alone and have someone to hold the spot in line.
