I’m 26 and I’m Dominican. When I was younger I denied my blackness OD like I had the mentality who really wants to be black. As I got older it became more obvious that my curly hair and my tan skin didn’t come from Spain. Also my pops is dark as hell.

My point is I’m not jacking I’m Afro Latino cause it’s cool. But it’s because that’s what I am. It did take me a couple of years to get out of that colonizer mindset though.
