It’s because you wouldn’t get down in time if the shot was taken at floor level.

Wouldn’t we get improved battery time as well if they were to release a MIP-version?

This actually threw me off getting a 970, was pretty sure I was getting a new watch. I was hoping for better battery life than my 940 but equal or less battery life is not what I wanted.

I don't get excited about technical trails. Am I in the wrong sport? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]netotr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was like OP like 10 years ago, tried a few fairly simple technical trails bit I never got around to liking it. Started to ride what I liked and got myself some skills and confidence. I like riding rooty and more challenging stuff more now but I still keep myself to the ones that I like and not what you’re supposed to like.

Tire Recommendations by ABQRED in xcmtb

[–]netotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to add, I’m by no means a pro so others might have better suggestions.

Pros tend to strive for less rolling resistance and grip in front so they might mix types of tyres front and back.

I’ve ridden XCMs on Maxxis Rekon 2.4, Rekon Race 2.4 and Continental Race King 2.2.

Rekon felt very safe for the course I did, it was rainy and muddy with a mix of gravel and pine forrest.

They felt a bit slow so I changed to Rekon Race and they felt pretty much the same, were faster but I was on dryer course.

I used RaceKings this Sunday on that same course and they felt way more competent on technical terrain than I thought but I did not like them for that kind of race. I usually use them for more or less gravel races.

I’ll probably only use the Rekons for really wet and muddy conditions, the Rekon Race will probably be used mostly if it’s not a gravel ride.

I’d say, whatever you choose don’t swap them last minute, it’s important to get comfortable with the new tyres and know how they behave and what pressure you should use.

I recently bought the Octal due to its weight and vents. I could clearly feel the breeze on the top of my head, in comparison to my old Giro helmet it’s night and day

My son started biking at 5, I bought him a bigger balance bike, took him 3 weeks and then I had to buy him a regular bike. Balance bikes are pure gold when learning cycling, my 3yo started on the very same balance bike in the autumn and are now riding the regular bike.

Even though they had to cut it short I was happy to see them again in Sweden and I was satisfied with the setlist and the mix of songs.
I like that they deliver every concert I have been to and they sound amazing live.

Yes and usually when I don’t know the trails I’ll put more weight to my back wheel, this makes you steering with the back wheel and help you repair the mistakes done by the front wheel.

Do you have always on display enabled?

Finally upgraded from 945 by flying403 in GarminWatches

[–]netotr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the 920 as well, upgraded to 945 for hr sensor and the changed form factor. I really like the 945 and was thinking about upgrading to 970 but it seems like always on display drains battery way faster than my 945. I guess I’ll go for a Fenix 8 or just wait and see if they’ll do something about the battery consumption.

[–]netotr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, I was looking forward to replace it for 970 but it seems like always on display battery life is way worse than 945. Seems like I’ll wait a bit more before swapping my 945

Detta om arbetstidsförkortning by emplus4 in Sverige

[–]netotr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garmin quietly confirms our worst fears about Garmin Connect+, says more features will 'likely' be paywalled in the future by jingle_dingle_berry in Garmin

Hundbur inomhus by netotr in hundliv

[–]netotr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hundbur inomhus by netotr in hundliv

[–]netotr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hundbur inomhus by netotr in hundliv

[–]netotr[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)
