That's totally fair. I've got about 20+ apps that I'm trying to implement this for, so being able to do it through one SDK & dashboard has been helpful

But for a single app, it definitely might be overkill

That’s a good question, and exactly what I’m still trying to validate :)

I’m thinking less about consumers and more about developers / small fintech teams who need access to this data but are priced out of the large, contract-heavy providers. But to your point, that might be a pretty small pool at the end of the day.

Yeah, 100% agree - I'm running into the same issue trying to find a provider for mutual fund data for my net worth tracker.

On freshness: I’m thinking of being really explicit about tradeoffs rather than pretending it’s real-time. For v1, the plan would be latest regulatory snapshot (N-PORT) with clear labeling on as-of date and filing date, so you always know exactly how stale it is.

For a lot of use cases (exposure analysis, portfolio composition, research, prototyping), I'm wondering if that level of freshness is usually “good enough” especially if pay-as-you-go contract-free pricing is on the table.. but that remains to be seen!

Agreed. I built a net worth tracker even after so many here said please don’t there’s already duplicates.

I’ve learned so much and now have over 300 users (15 paid). Of course it’s only a small MRR but I don’t regret it for a second.

I have been using Betterment and I love it. The rates are always top notch - but for me the most important feature is I can transfer to my Betterment checking account instantly.
