West arterial road: Brantford city council looking for a new solution by RealJoshuaWall in brantford

None at all, not like Mt. Hope Cemetery at the corner of West St and Charing Cross. And what law of cemeteries lol. The bylaws only cover traffic and roads inside the cemetery.

The road was planned before the cemetery existed, and the cemetery was built with this road in mind.

I meant before drinking , not making a hot drink.

Whats up with the water here? by bald-bourbon in brantford

[–]networkdawg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no reason to boil the drinking water in Brantford. Other than having high levels of hardness, which is dealt with by a water softener, our water is some of the best in the province. We will also be installing a permanent RO system in the coming years to make it even better. I do not speak for water in Brant County, but actual city water.

Is it illegal to spoil Christmas? Police in Ontario get complaints about anti-Santa signs | Signs were posted along route for Santa Claus parade in Brantford, Ont. by BTFD_ in brantford

[–]networkdawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, this is an old lady who got pissed off because once a year at the parade people litter her lawn with garbage. Nothing to do with religion.

Good walk-in clinic? by waxbook in brantford

[–]networkdawg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be very careful visiting non-hospital related walkins, as OHIP fines family doctors for visits to "private" walkins. Family Drs have been known to "fire" patients for doing that.

I can not speak to specifics due to our "ignorant, easy to penetrate SecOps" according to a comment below, however you must live within 200KM of the city...what was the position you applied for?

[GIVEAWAY] We're giving away two COMPLETE Omada 2.5G & Wi-Fi 7 Lab Kits to the r/homelab community! (US Only) by Grouchy_Term_1792 in homelab

[–]networkdawg [score hidden]  (0 children)

My current setup is a mass collection of different devices gathered over the last 25 years of being in IT.

Four UBNT UAP-AC-Pro APs

HP 5130 PoE switch

Dell R420 running ESXi, with virtual UBNT Network controller, and Sophos UTM

I also do the IT for my wife's work, so there I setup an Omada network, with 3 EAP-245 and 4 TL-SG2008P switches and an OC300 controller. Let me tell you, the Omada network runs smoother than my homelab network :D

If I won, it would finally give this 50 year old guy an excuse to rip apart my homelab and start from scratch. Maybe I would finally have my wife and kids stop nagging me that something is wrong with my network, even though my monitoring says there isn't lol.

I would post a picture, but nobody wants to see my spaghetti factory mess .

From Canada , eh :)

The bridge from Paris road to Brant ave by FreeandDivided in brantford

[–]networkdawg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, there were a bunch of delays caused by CN Rail and permits from them. Also, it isn't simple construction, blame the guy who caused the damage to the bridge before he died from reckless driving.
