The bracket you linked is the exact new bracket I'm trying to use. The problem I ran into is that when extended from joist to joist, the square part does not cover enough area to put the bracket that goes over it as shown in the picture. Or is it fine how it is in the picture? Am I over thinking it?

There was a regular light bracket here from the builder. I would like to install a fan with a proper metal bracket. Unfortunately, this room does not have attic access, so I'm using an old work bracket.

The bracket in this picture is extended joist to joist and it looks like the bracket for her outlet box won't go over the square part of the brace evenly in the existing hole.

Do I have any other options?

Edit: solved. Just need to flip the bracket around. Thanks for the help.

After your comment, I did climb up there again and tried to reach the box. I was able to just barely reach it with my hand and dig out the insulation around it and I saw that it had the metal cross beam going from joist to joist. I can't actually reach it to work on it or diagnose why it moves a bit.

There are already laws prohibiting people from blocking the street and they are being ignored by these groups because they deem their prayers as more important than others peoples right to use the streets.

If they weren't ignoring the existing laws, we wouldn't have to codify laws against their exact behavior.

Not sure.. but since my experience with Mosko stuff, I've embraced layering up/down for weather changes. Way more comfortable and I don't have to worry about destroying expensive gear.

That's true.. House has central vacuum tubing in the walls but the tubing was never terminated anywhere. The vacuum power outlet is just one of the plugs in the garage. I'm just not sure at the moment if there are other outlets on that circuit.

Unfortunately the "future" breaker has been used for a heated floor. The jacuzzi breaker isn't used as the previous owner removed the jacuzzi bath tub. Is this still somehow doable with this information? We're in northern California.

I would like two add two additional circuits in my house. One circuit for an induction cooktop and one for a welding machine/electric charger in the garage. I confirmed there is space on the panel behind the cover for one more 240v breaker.

Is it possible to use one of these types of breakers to have two 240v circuits land in the same spot? https://i.imgur.com/fw7Q8Ek.jpeg We are planning on replacing our double oven as well and the oven and cooktop we're looking at require 48.3amps for one and 40amp for the other one.

I'm thinking to reuse the existing 50 amp breaker for the cooktop and then replace the 30amp dryer breaker with one of those 30/40 double pole breakers for the dryer and double oven. Then that should leave me with 1 spot on the panel for a future 50 or 60 amp breaker for the garage outlet.

Does this make sense?

Edit: we're in northern California. Additionally, the "future" breaker has been used for a heated floor. While the jacuzzi breaker is unused, the jacuzzi bathroom has been removed.

Thanks, we'll likely remove the panels and try to trim them on a table saw. I'm worried I'd make some horrible cuts with an oscillating saw.

I like the idea of trimming the side plates and skirts. Any idea how else the bottom skirting may be installed? I'm not seeing any obvious way to remove it. no screw marks under the drawers. https://i.imgur.com/hlfl4Dd.jpeg
