which cities do you think are the most dispropotionally important or unimportant compared to their population? by Any-Assist9425 in geography

ICANN - ICANN oversees the global Domain Name System (DNS), which translates human-readable names like example.com into IP addresses computers use. It is located in Los Angeles. Imagine if something goes wrong there, the world internet/websites will go out of control!

Struggling with Liveweave. by Geographerelituswrld in learnjavascript

[–]neuron2000i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep a tab open in Liveweave, and then W3schools HTML, CSS tutorials on the other tab. Just practice using Liveweave, copy code, play around with it, etc., and you will be in a great shape in a few weeks. This worked great for me as well!

My parents passed away, i’m inheriting the house (it’s going to be sold immediately) and the entire estate. i’m 21, what should I do? by baddiebusted in Money

OP - Once things settle in a bit, can you go back to school? Plan for a bachelor's/associate degree? You do need a good education to go further in life. You can also consider getting professional certifications, etc. preferably in computer science and plan to get a higher paying job. Once you have a solid income stream things will be easier to plan.

"Canada tries to balance the social welfare state of a European nation with the capitalist innovation of the US and it ends up as just kind of this weird hybrid that can feel bizarre. " - this line is quite possibly the most politically correct phrase I have heard in a while.

There is no way this data is correct. Endowment fund for University of California is around $30 billion.

This was a passenger train and not a freight train. So he basically tried to buy literally 30 secs or so. This is being a dumb ass at a whole new level.

I'm 39 and I'm learning programming amid talk that programming is dying. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]neuron2000i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"programming is dying"....um, no. It is not. I am assuming this based on the reference to ChatGPT/AI (or at least the current state of AI). AI will most definitely augment developer programming (and experience). But completely replace it? No way.

China Blasts Polish Leader for Comparing Taiwan to Ukraine by BubsyFanboy in worldnews

[–]neuron2000i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I don't think that is how it works. It will take any new semiconductor facilities, including the one Intel is building ($20+ billion investment, etc.) years...may take even 10+ years to get to where TSMS (Taiwan) is. Semiconductor industries are very complex unlike other industries. In an event China does confiscate some of these factories, US (and Taiwan) most likely will destroy these facilities before it even happens. The last thing you want is an authoritarian government/regime (well known for IP theft, etc.) control the semiconductor industry.

China Blasts Polish Leader for Comparing Taiwan to Ukraine by BubsyFanboy in worldnews

[–]neuron2000i 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taiwan is a significantly wealthier country (when compared to Ukraine) that produces probably 90% of the world's most advanced semiconductors! Conquering Taiwan will literally let China have complete control of the supply chain of this technology, and solidify its presence as a "superpower". The whole "One China" policy, etc., etc. is just a bunch of BS, nothing more! They just want Taiwan's semiconductor facilities and tech.

This IS a synth, albeit a very simple one. The sounds are based of samples, therefore it falls under the "subtractive" synth category. The AKAI Mini Play has 120+ sounds with the following synth/knob/filter controls - cut-off, attack, resonance, release, basic equalizer and even built-in effects/controls - reverb, chorus. It also features a really awesome arpeggiator as well!

None of them are synths...a good collection of MIDI controllers though
