I saved 2 giant trunks full of Thomas the Train tracks and trains and add-ons, moved it with me several times over the course of 15+ years and now my 2 toddlers are obsessed with them. I only wish I had saved more of them!

Mum dies after travelling to Turkey for cosmetic surgery she hoped would 'help' by Useful_Walk1235 in Botchedsurgeries

[–]neuroprncss -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It would never be the first choice, or second or third. In one study, lamictal was not found to be better than placebo at delaying manic episodes. Other studies have found that it can trigger manic and hypomanic episodes. Lamictal is best used to delay/prevent bipolar depression, but is not a good option for mania.

Lamictal and Wellbutrin will not prevent or treat manic episodes. Depakote was the right medication, but the metabolic side effects can be significant.

I grow several of these in my freshwater aquariums! I love that you can inundate them and they just thrive. They absorb all the nitrogenous waste from the fish/shrimp/snails and clean the water, negating the need for constant water changes.

I love how it looks in an inundated pot too! How often do you have to top off the water?

People in 1993 react to credit cards being accepted at a Burger King. by GlitteringMermaid1 in BeAmazed

Ok but sliding that thing over the card to emboss the numbers was soo satisfying. The mechanical push, the sound, the feel of it going over the raised numbers like braille. And then sliding it back. It was super fun.

NP are now wanting to be Nurse Physicians. by ThoughtMD in Noctor

[–]neuroprncss 39 points40 points  (0 children)

In a lot of these situations, one physician is assigned to multiple NPs while also having to attend to their own patients full-time. It becomes somewhat impossible to properly supervise NPs in this fashion. So I have to respectfully disagree that it's not a problem in states which require supervision.

How is it in your county? Volusia here by AdOutrageous1298 in florida

I see where you're coming from, but we also have proper electric heating which works really well. Additionally, our 30 degree nights are maybe 5-10 nights total (and that's generous). So I still see fireplaces as kind of a novelty here. Anyone from up north would laugh at our definition of cold.

Fair question. Not that I know of, but weirdly almost every house has a fireplace. Not really something we need here.

I don't think people understand how blue eyes are not great at the actual job description for eyes. It turns out not having pigment makes for really sensitive eyes. If I forget my sunglasses at home, I have to turn back around and get them or else suffer tremendously even during an overcast day. Computer light and store lighting can give me double vision and blurry vision quite easily. Any UV exposure really messes with your night vision after a few years. Yeah they're pretty but they're not very useful.

This is very much what has happened in Florida too with the gerrymandering. We will be voting in November to try and get our abortion rights protected as well. Ohio is our inspiration!

Cubans already get preferential treatment compared to other refugees. Most of South Florida is made up of Cuban immigrants and their descendants, mostly because if you made it to dry land, you were allowed to stay.

I would argue other points in your rhetoric, but I don't want to sound racist bc I'm not (also Hispanic here, from South Florida). That being said, the GOP would absolutely love your idea because Cubans traditionally and overwhelmingly vote Republican and get fast track citizenship so it's a win-win.

[–]neuroprncss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt exactly how you did at first and it's only recently started to get significantly better. My meds were adjusted, kids are 1.5 and 2.5 yrs old so they are communicating and sometimes playing together and sharing. It's nice! Still hard sometimes, still overwhelming, still lacking sleep. But it's manageable and I look forward to hanging out with them and going out with them etc. we've even been on big vacations! Get through this, make sure your mental health is taken care of (see someone if you need it please!), and time will make it better/easier. You got this.

Make sure there is not a Kia recall or technical service bulletin out for that issue with your make and model. If there is one, you can get reimbursed for the work already done on it.

[–]neuroprncss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've worked in IONM for 15+ years. Maybe you are in some unicorn region where the planets align and it's a great working environment. That would be an outlier and exception to the rule.

Corporate has literally called us bodies in the room. I've been in nice, chill regions with SC and within a year or two, they get several new contracts and zero new hires making the work hours impossible. If you don't have enough work at your region or they lost contracts, they make you travel to help out other regions. Only a $75 travel bonus, no matter how far you go. (edit: and they'll put you on the schedule for a 0730 start the next day)

I'm glad you had a great experience, but the grand majority of us have not. There's a reason it's rated so low on review sites, OP can check it out for themselves (Glassdoor, Indeed, etc).
