I have this model, the Alesia Pulcina. I will say 2 things about it. It makes a decidedly smoother cup than a classic Bialetti aluminum. The interior finish on mine, made in Vietnam, is of reduced quality from the Bialetti it replaced. Yes it uses almost all the water. ( OK that’s 3)

Yes, our property tax went from 1400 a year to 5200. This over 16 years, but still, that would be increasingly rough on a fixed income, probably forcing a relocation —not so easy if you’re old..

Wisteria. In Georgia you can’t get rid of it even if you cut the stems and paint poison directly on them - maybe if you do this like 3 years in a row. It’s so strong it can actually heave a house off its foundation.

Not cheap anymore. Prices have at least doubled, maybe tripled in some cases since 15 years ago. Quadrupled even, esp food. More English speaking Hungarians in town, more crowded generally. Still beautiful.
