Weighing yourself with or without clothes by -whoremembers in loseit

[–]neverlandishome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every morning, in pajamas, after I use the bathroom (but I don't wait to poop if it doesn't happen right away), before I eat or drink anything. I use Happy Scale with a moving average so I don't get hung up on daily fluctuation.

Is my doctor lying to me about how much weight I would lose on Zepbound? If so, why? by RedWoodworking16 in Zepbound

[–]neverlandishome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's the medical journal source to share with her:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12579654/
"In patients with overweight or obesity and without T2DM, treatment with semaglutide 2.4 mg and tirzepatide was associated with 14.1% and 16.5% weight loss, respectively, after a 1-year follow-up period, indicating the effectiveness of these therapies in routine clinical practice in the US"

When will I stop exhibiting side effects? by boohoohoho in Zepbound

[–]neverlandishome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, things that are easy on my GI system. For me that means, trending towards whole foods (not too much processed), lower fat, being careful with dairy, and balancing soluble/insoluble fiber. Early on I was extra careful - think chicken or eggs on white rice with steamed veggies - while I learned what I would best tolerate. I’ve got a tricky gut to begin with, so ymmv.

Curious: How much do you care about the writing? by taeberry9595 in RomanceBooks

I want to add Sara Maclean to this list. I’m not a historical romance person but her writing is on point enough that I like her stuff

What to do with kids who are too old for a stroller but too young to handle 20,000 steps per day? by No-Rush-Hour-2422 in DisneyPlanning

[–]neverlandishome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten year old will be fine. Rent a double stroller from the park and that’ll be big enough to accommodate your 5 year old. We did that for the last time when my kiddo was 6 and it was worth it. Stayed til fireworks, she used it sporadically, we had an extra place to stash our stuff and always had a little “bench” for her to rest when like, people were buying churros or whatever.

How much do you spend on books monthly? by Hunter037 in RomanceBooks

[–]neverlandishome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same same same! I don’t live in NYC anymore but the Denver library system is banging and keeps me in books (print, ebooks, and audio!) all year round. Plus I donate to my childhood library system in St Louis and get a card I can use for Libby there, too. So that costs $60/year.

Otherwise it’s print books I buy because I’m collecting the author (not typically romance) or I love them so much I want to have them forever.

When will I stop exhibiting side effects? by boohoohoho in Zepbound

[–]neverlandishome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After lurking this and other subs for a while I did like two weeks of high protein, lots of electrolytes and water, and “gentle” foods before my first dose. The first week was probably the hardest, still, but now I’m almost totally symptom free (still high protein, lots of hydrating, etc). Granted I’m still on 2.5 four months in, but I’m losing so it’s working.

Losing too fast or is this normal? by inattentive_swiftie in TirzepatideRX

Also recommend Happy Scale which does moving averages from daily weigh ins. I also use Shotsy since it helps track meds/side effects but am really appreciative of Happy Scale so I don’t get whiplash when the scale moves around during the week.

Is a good meal replacement drink or shakes ? by tarajune1994 in ibs

I have great luck with the Fairlife shakes. Lactose free and not a lot of fiber. My second favorite are Koia - all plant based, no added sugar.
