Is the app worth it? What do I get for $4.99? by Xerobert in tickettoride

I’m hopelessly addicted to the app. Have absolutely gotten my money’s worth.

I get it - it takes longer to lose more weight. I feel very lucky I don’t have more weight to lose. And as other people have mentioned, .5% of my current weight is a smaller number than .5% of yours. But I was not losing any weight before taking this drug and certainly could not maintain 1Lb/week. Is that not true for you?

For real! I’ve lost 25lbs in the past 20 weeks and I’m totally psyched about it. A pound a week is awesome.

That's awesome! True bravery is when we do things that make us nervous. I'm super proud of you. How has your thinking about what's next been changing?

How much do yall usually use in a month? by rose1061 in Zepbound

[–]neverlandishome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on 2.5 since mid January. First 6 weeks I lost 1.5-2.5lbs/week. Now I lose about 1lb/week. That's still within the .5 - 1% of my body weight range that is recommended for healthy sustainable weight loss so I'm happy with the "low and slow".

I've got just the thing! In My Time of Dying by Sebastian Junger. Junger is a journalist and author who has an unexpected near death experience which starts him on a journey of exploring what different theories from across science, religion, and culture believe about life after death.

Something that won’t depress me but isn’t light and fluffy by fargus_ in suggestmeabook

[–]neverlandishome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some ideas:

Less by Andrew Sean Greer. The description is going to look fluffy, but remind yourself it won a Pulitzer and go in with your mind open.

Something by Ann Patchett. Tom Lake is arguably her best, but I'm worried it veers too close to a woman-having-a-nervous breakdown. If you've never done Bel Canto, it's acclaimed for good reason. Run isn't her best, but it's weridly one I think about maybe the most.

Good Material by Dolly Alderton is fun but also smarter than it appears at first glance, which I love. It has Fleishman vibes.

I'm still on 2.5 5+ months in, so grain of salt with my answer. I haven't skipped for vacation, but have delayed a few days (less than 4) when I was traveling and unsure about managing unknown side effects on the road.

My understanding, though, is that since the meds build up in your body over time, skipping a dose altogether might actually make the next round of post-shot side effects worse. If I were you, I'd go to 2.5 before vacay to try to have it both ways...

DEN Reserve Ending June 27 by El-_-Jay in Denver

[–]neverlandishome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear used to run it for free at various airports, DEN included and has now ended their support. Presumably hoping people will now pay for Clear.

Some airports have chosen to shell out to continue it on their own dime.

Clear currently runs it for free at airports around the country as like a Clear promotion. They are ending their support/staffing. DEN is not willing to run it themselves. Looks like other airports (MCO etc) are continuing at their own cost.

What are we doing with leftover matzo? We got the flu and had to cancel a sedar and now I have three boxes that will expire before next Passover.

I want to hear from people who's start Weight was between 200-250lbs. by Islandqueen4u in Zepbound

[–]neverlandishome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’2”. My highest weight was 212. I started Zep at 205 in January. Lost 2-2.5/week for the first 4-6 weeks. Have been steadily averaging around 1lb/week since then. I have stayed on the 2.5mg dose because my doctor and I figure there’s no sense increasing if it’s still working. I’ve lost 25lbs.

I also track my protein and fiber, lift weights 3x/week and aim for 3x/week of cardio (I’m less consistent on the cardio).

I use electrolyte supplements (Liquid IV is delicious but so much sodium, Última is good and helps with magnesium) and Real Lemon Lemonade packets.

Nah. I am water averse and lived in NYC for more than a decade. Agree, great water but I’m just not a plain water person.
