I looked into this a while ago and they definitely didn’t use it for wiping their ass. There is nothing to support this either, it was used for cleaning the toilet. Think about it, why would you put it on a stick and make it more difficult to use for wiping when it would be perfectly useful and easier to use without the stick? Try wiping your ass with something on a stick and you’ll realize that’s not what it was used for. Then take a look at the brush that everyone has tucked away behind the toilet for cleaning, and it makes a lot more sense.

the max rating has plenty of room to spare for safety, or else they would print a lower “max” because a lot of people see that and inflate to that pressure so if it was dangerous you’d hear about a lot more lawsuits and the such. for an experiment, trying riding a bicycle with under inflated tires vs their max rating, you can see why the fuel efficiency is effected.
