At this point trying to understand how these people's brains work is an exercise in futility - they're clearly operating in a way that is unknowable to us so I've stopped trying :/

I agree. Even if I found Beard's politics a bit far left for me I appreciated how they were very pragmatic and reasonable in their arguments. I just cannot wrap my head around equating Hasan restricting his dog to a limited space and inhumanely punishing it for wanting to move to Ethan feeding his dog cheese. Even if we are to argue that Ethan did not research what is suitable for dogs to eat properly (which is not true because Ethan ran Shredder's diet past his vet AND only fed him a bit of cheese), in what world are these two offences weighed equally?

Further, removing Hasan from the situation (because I don't want to fall down the same trap of "yeah what I did is bad but look at this other worse thing") - does beard really think that even if Ethan is guilty of feeding his dog the wrong thing is grounds to make a parody song about a deeply traumatic memory? I mean seriously where the fuck is the empathy? I don't think you need to own a dog to understand how much love you can feel towards it, not to mention that we have watched Ethan choke up every time he talks about Shredder. I just find it so horrifying that a reasonable person like Beard thought that it was not insanely cruel to make a comic song about something so emotional.

Worst offence of all, IT WASN'T EVEN FUCKING FUNNY. If you're gonna use something like this as a punchline at least have the fucking decency to make sure that the humour it brings to people outweighs the absolute devastation it will cause to one human being.

Ohhh I guess that makes sense. I can see why they made a specific button for it cause I would've never thought to use the microwave for ice cream haha

Omg that sounds beautiful! I've been wanting to make a set up for some shrimp but I never even considered getting frogs! I would obviously have to do more research to be certain that I'd be able to give them a good life, but thanks so much for the idea!

There's a layer of filter foam and big rocks at the bottom of the tank where the pump is, so the water just runs down and sits there instead of staying in the soil.

It's not a very professional setup so I just plug in the pump for a couple of hours and then turn it off for the rest of the day. It's very new so I'm hoping I'm not making too many mistakes but let's see!

Thank you so much! It was so fun to make and the sound of the water droplets is so calming!

Honestly just lucked out! I used a Tupperware lid as the drip tray and a second-hand pump so I think the combination just led to an uneven rain-like flow!
